A Leader's Questions...

Posted 2021-09-06 20:08:12
The cream colored wolf, that had been listening to the others thought it was about her turn to answer a question. '"I'm neutral...I simply do not care as long as they're willing to breed if needed. I don't consider breeding as...well, romance. Same-sex relationships do not make anymore distraction from regular duties as hetero relationships." Neoknown answered, very certain on what she was saying.

Turning to the next leader, "Anyways, is there anything particulary unique about your pack? It can be anything really."

Twisted Crown shook her dark brown fur and moved forward to speak. "My pack has a few unique or uncommon traditions, one of the first is the tradition of Silent Names that only the singer and the wolf themselves know."
She turned to the next wolf
"Is there any naming system that your pack uses?" she asked.

"We name our wolves after Sea Creatures mostly, but also we use cute, funny names. If you can call that a naming system. "
She said that last part in a whisper. She turned to her right and asked the wolf: "What is your favorite prey? Elk? Muskox? Other?
We sure do love legendary catches and walruses!" Her daughter howled happily at that, then stopped when she realized that attired stares and quickly shut up and looked at the ground.

Arwen sat and eyed the other wolf thoughtfully. "Anything big enough for several wolves." She said after several seconds of silence. "My pack likes to share in every meal when possible, and besides, small creatures are hardly satisfying." Her tail thumped against the ground, as if she were already thinking of that next big meal.

Her gaze then shifted to another nearby wolf. "What types of things does your pack do for fun?"

Nazshauus huffed as she met Arwen's yellow gaze, her own orange eyes narrowed and her maw set into a sneer. The look faded quickly as she stepped forward, morphing into a kinder look. "My pack doesn't exactly do things for fun, as much as have set time's for us to relax while keeping the pack working. As an example, while one hunting party is out working, another may have a bit of free time. During this time, they may do almost anything." She announced, "Play with pups, tell stories, spar, insight a game of tag or hide and seek." She hummed for a moment, then added, " Though once a month, on the night of the full moon our pack will get together for a gathering where everyone, even outsiders may bring their wares to sell. There are games for our younger and more playful members, and even a few more adult games for older and more mature wolves."

Turning her gaze away the she-wolf spotted her target. "Does your pack have any special holidays that they celebrate?"

Eclipse sighed when he realized it was his turn, glancing at one of the females from his pack he had brought with him, "Can I go now?" "No," she responded sternly, as if telling a puppy to behave. Eclipse sighed again and turned back to the other lead wolves, looking tense as if he expected them to attack, "Eh what was your question again? What holidays do we have?" He looked down for a minute, muttering something under his breath. The female wolf nudged him, "Louder." Eclipse shot her a glare before saying slowly, "We like to celebrate when Mars is in retrospect- and I guess when our adolescents age up we like to have a ceremony that proves their worth." He quickly turned away when he was done speaking and looked back at the female, "Can I go now?" The female wolf rolled her eyes and stepped forward to ask the next question:

"What is your packs greatest strength and what is their greatest weakness?"

corr sneered when he heard the question - why do you want to know that to attack us? - the old she-wolf who had gone with him, sighed looking at him badly
  - corr just answers the question no one here would attack without good reason - corr kept his gaze with deerpatch before making an annoyed moan before smiling amused at thinking of something - well I'll tell you our greatest  strength is deerpatch here and our greatest weakness is area the latest addition to the pack - corr laughs before looking at the next leader and asking
- What is the strangest thing you have seen in your territory?

At the question, the golden queen's ears flicked. There was no shortage of odd occurrences within her territory; the weather notwithstanding. She supposed that the current events may be worth sharing, though disappearing wolves and bright lights in the wood were strangers to none here. After taking a moment to think, Kafele shrugged.

"I witnessed a soul leave the body of the Pathfinder before me," she mentions, recalling, "it left him blind. Though I think the eeriest part was when.. the soul looked at me. It's eyes were so.. sad." Quiet for a moment after her relevation, Kafele did her best to quickly shake the grief from her body. Turning to the next wolf, she asked,

"I don't suppose your pack has romance traditions?"

Rain had recently rejoined the group, and her ears perked at the question. She took a moment to think before replying. "We do, yes. It's customary for courting pairs to bring each other jewelry and flowers, even before they officially become mates." She reached a paw up and gestured at the leaves and flowers around her neck. "For example, Crystal made this for me recently."
The grey wolf paused, thinking again on how to best word it. "As for official traditions, usually wolves will swim across the mountain stream within our territory while passing a flower between them, its a ritual of trust. They're putting their lives in each other's paws to prove their love to each other and the gods."

Rain gestured to another wolf at random. "You, why don't we carry on the question. What are your romantic traditions?"

The Elderly Queen gingerly stepped forward, her son Cayikem at her side, providing her a shoulder to lean on. "Most of our romantic traditions aren't strictly followed, but some are. Sometimes parents will gather together with their newborns and set about Betrothals to one or two of their pups. If a pup isn't betrothed by the end of their first year of life, they are free to court any wolf who isn't mated or betrothed."
Nazshauus glanced at her son grimacing before adding, "Though betrothals and courtships may end at any time. My heir," she motioned to her son, "was betrothed to a she-wolf in a neighboring pack, before he met his darling mate; Zurrce."

Naz whispered something into her son's ear as she stepped back. Cayikem stayed put for a time and spoke his orange gaze turning to another wolf. "A question of a similar strain. Is there a traditional way for your pack-mates to break off courtships, betrothals, and pair bonds?
