Piglet smiled a little sadly. "Yes, my necklace. I inherited it from Rose, may she rest in peace."

"Has your pack lost anyone to illness?"

A Lithe, Guaiacum-crowned leader trotted over, sitting proudly as she kept her head held high. A dragon-shaped pendant glimmered along her neck as she opened her jaws to speak. "Loss to illness is not allowed in my pack, as it would show who the weak are. I ensure our herbalist treats the sick before the injured." The pack leader, Decimator, spoke, her voice coming out in a snarl.

"Moving to the neck, here is the question I bid to you, if you were forced to move biomes, what biome would you fall back to?" She inquired, moving her voice to a calm tone, this question having peaked her interest as she had been forced into doing so in her own time.

Her relaxation fled her as the leaders kept their answers curt, offering little in terms of expression or movement. Words, she noticed, were not being spoken, no answers to truly be told. Before anyone could answer the last question, she cleared her throat.

"No, we have never lost anyone to illness. In fact, our only deaths are results from accidents, or age, such as the former leader, Cascadestar's, secondborn daughter, Rivermelody, whom we just lost this morning."

However, she spoke at the same time as Lithe, and a sigh of relief escaped her. Finally, she thought, offering a deep bow to the other alpha. Taking into consideration Lithe's words, she sighed softly.

"I believe we would fall back to the Tundra, where I began my leadership. We had to move, as hunting there was difficult, and we lost many pups due to hunger. However, once our scouts have secured the territories, we intend to move into more welcoming lands, perhaps the Praire, or Grasslands."

She paused, letting her answers sink in, allowing the others to contemplate their own answers more thoroughly. After a few moments, she flicked her tail, eyes narrowing on the next wolf.

"You there," she began, voice stern, "what history do you teach your young? What lead to who your pack is, where they are, and why you're here. What stories do you tell? What songs do you sing?"

((I'm not a mod or anything of this thread, but I have noticed a lot of newcomers who haven't seemed to read the rules, particularly this one:
"The aim of the game is to ask and answer questions as your lead wolf! Write a short passage from the perspective of your wolf responding to the previous user's question and asking the next user a question."
In order to keep this fun, please make sure you're answering as a wolf, with quotations, expressions, etc. ^^))

Twisted Crown stepped forward, seeing her chance to speak.
"I do not teach history in the pack, but my daughter, Crow Heart, is the Singer for the pack. She tells stories and legends of the great spirits who wandered the earth before us, and teaches the pups about wolves that came before us, such as Sky, the first herbalist in the valley."
She paused for a moment, collecting her thoughts again, as if recalling a memory.
"As for the pack, it was founded when I was cast out of my home pack and met my companion, Silver Cloud. My daughter is old enough to remember the first wolves who joined the pack, although many of them were claimed by illness in the recent months."
Twisted Crown bowed her head in a moment of silence, before turning to the next wolf.
"As for you, how do you chose which role a wolf has?"

Aster finally sat up, her aging bones groaned in protest, but her interest was piqued at the question. She had been listening idly nearby and finally decided to join in again. She padded up and spoke with a soft aged voice.
"Our pack is formed on the basis of new beginnings. This is the idea that our founding leader created our pack on and something I intend to uphold as well as future pack leaders after me. We make it a point to take in any wolf driven out of their old homes, regardless of reason, age, or looks. They must leave their old life behind entirely, most never even speaking of it again. We know nothing of the history of these new wolves, whether they be previous murderers, thieves, or simply driven out due to being lacking in some area or another. We offer them a chance to change for the better and have, well, a new beginning. We hope to instill this mindset on all our young ones. It does not matter who you were, only who you are now"

She smiled as she sat down, suddenly winded. After a slight pause, she continued.

"These wolves form the core of our pack, the rest of our pack mates all descendent of previous members taken in from the wilderness. Our life is surprisingly peaceful and almost all of the new wolves taken under our wing choose to stay permanently. Other than that. Our history does not reach far, only a few leaders old, and as such we don't as of yet have any beliefs or religions about this world. I myself am not a very superstitious wolf."

"You young one, how does your breeding system work? Is anyone free to choose the mate they wish or does the lead assign breeding pairs based on the packs needs?" She asked in a tired but friendly voice.

Oop I'm a little late haha

Silence was flattered that the ancient leader had posed her a question. "In my pack a wolf may choose their own mate. But we are a young pack, so not many of us have taken mates." She paused, her eyes brimming with love, "I have a wolf who is dear to me."

With a slight blush still lingering, she turned to the another alpha and voiced her question. "Where is your pack settled, and why? Is it because of good hunting or other reasons?"

My pack is settled in the mountains. That is were we have always lived and we shall love there for 10 generations then we shall move to the desert.
