LOCK Wolf Customisation whilst in TRADE

LOCK Wolf Customisation whilst in TRADE
Posted 2021-12-27 11:33:41 (edited)
Recently I proposed an offer on a wolf in the trading centre, for it's particular markings. These markings were removed whilst my offer on the trade was pending, fortunately I noticed this upon checking the trade again a few hours later so I was able to withdraw my offer.

However, had I not checked, this trade COULD have been accepted, and I would have received a wolf with the original markings no longer present. Thus, I would've lost out on a lot of valuable items for essentially nothing in return.

The suggestion here is that all attributes and items on a wolf are LOCKED in place when the player advertises the wolf for sale on the trading centre. This includes not being able to remove decorations, or changing it's eye colour, base, marking etc whilst the advert is open.

Should they wish to change anything or remove items from the wolf they will have to remove/cancel the advert and all open offers will automatically be rejected.

Absolutely support. This is the case for breeding males - if they are available for stud, they can't have anything about their appearance changed (no base changes, no marking changes, no eye or skin/nose/claws changes), and I imagine that the reason why this is the case is to prevent people getting ripped off, which is exactly the same case here.

I assumed this was a bug and reported it some time ago when I realized I could rma a wolf I had up for trade (no offers, and I wanted to take the trade down to reprice). But if this is an intended feature, I fully support locking the wolves like public studs are. It would protect people from ending up with something they were not looking for.

I agree, wolves for trade should be locked.

Support!

I don't get why you can do this... It could be abused and a buyer would never know until it's too late. It must have been an oversight, since I can't imagine this was to be intended. (Sepulchre's report for it seems to be under investigation, which implies it wasn't intentional? Either way, it needs to be changed.)
