I remember reading a series like that! I dont remember what it was called, but i remember some of the scenes. What was the name of the one you remember? Maybe it was the same one. |

I'm currently working through the new audio books for Lord of the Rings and really having a good time; havent read the books since high school. They are like 20 hours long each though so it's a good thing I have a long work commute! |

Also here are some more dragon books for anybody interested. They are geared more toward the teen reads. Last dragon Chronicles by Chris d'Lacey. This wasn't my type of dragon story but others might like it! Series about clay dragons and tons of magic. Erth Dragon series also by Chris d'Lacey. Started off as a mystery style dragon book but then goes off to a more magic and space type. Pillage Trilogy by Obert Skye. Dragons in the real world with some magic of course Age of Fire series by E. E. Knight. Books are dragon POVs in a fantasy land with dwarves, elves, people, etc. Lastly is The Ice Dragon by George Martin. A short standalone book about a little girl and her bond with a very rare ice dragon |

Have you read Ratha's Creature by Clare bell? I loved it and it definitely wasn't the average kids type animal books Watership down seems to be an animal book that's fairly popular. A book about rabbits and I think it has its own movie adaptation too. There's also Dark Wing by Kenneth Oppel. About prehistoric bats, and not afraid to throw in some gory scenes here and there haha Then there's The Tiger and The Wolf. An adult book About people who can turn into animals. I wasn't able to read it yet, but it looked interesting! |

Has anyone read Julie of the Wolves? I haven't read it in ages but it was one of my favorites. It's about a girl in Alaska who gets adopted by a wolf pack. Also, has anyone here read the Beyonders trilogy by Brandon Mull? It's really amazing -- one of those 'kid from our world gets trapped in a fantasy world and has to defeat the evil villain to get home' books, except it's done extremely well. I've easily reread it six or seven times, and the second book may or may not be worn out to the point where it usually falls open to my favorite scene by itself when set down... |
