Gender/pronouns: Male(he/him) Eye color: Black flame Hair color: Jet black Bio: He was raised as a Shadow Master, but defected when the Shadow Rogues joined forced with the Ukati and Akuma Arison. Raven was only 10 when he defected but has managed to survive for a long time. He is the last remaining member of the Shadow Rogues but calls himself a Shadow Mage as to avoid hostility. He can make friends easily once he falls into rhythm with a new place. Now older, he understands the craft of Shadow Science and controls it well. He works best alone, though sometimes he will work with others if it benefits him. Though genderfluid, he prefers to use his birth pronouns and genetic gender when in public because this simplifies things and makes life generally easier for everyone around him. He has an amplifier, a fetter made of black dragon scales. He did not know English/human when he came to the human world so he does not use contractions when he speaks, which is also why this long bio has no contractions in it. Looks: He wears a black army uniform, tattered and torn but still intact with multiple black cloth patches. Around his left wrist is his amplifier, a black dragon scale fetter, made from pure dragon scale. His black pants are torn and his tanned brown skin can be seen through the black threads. His black cloak is lined with raven feathers and made of raven skin, he made it himself. Abilities learned(w/ desc of each): The Cut- summons a pure shadow blade that splits anything around the user in half within a five foot radius. Can be dodged by dropping to the ground if human/humanoid as it will not touch the ground directly and a foot of safe space is given in case of use around allies. Cannot be dodged in air unless out of five foot radius. Extremely taxing on the user's energy and strength. Can be deadly to user if used too often. Shadow Call- kills all light in a chosen range. Not very taxing but still taxing on the user. Not deadly if used often. Does not have any effect on enemies or allies except for being plunged into darkness suddenly. Shadow Heal- can be used to heal a wound, if only temporary until a healer arrives. Can be deadly to user if used too often or for too long. Very taxing but not as taxing as The Cut. Shield- self explanatory. Summons a shield of shadows around the user in a two foot radius. Very taxing if held for too long. Not very taxing if used for a short period of time. Summon- summons ribbons of shadows that can be used in any way chosen by the user. Least taxing of all the abilities a Shadow Rogue can learn. Can be damaging but dodged if needed. Most reliant on a user's skill and experience. Useful in battle or for getting what you want. Family members(living): Midnight Amaxi Altalune(mother) & Kaia Amaxi Altalune(sibling by blood) Family members(deceased): Shade Sankta(father), Samia Jaimys(sister by adoption) Shadow Rogue lore: Midnight Amaxi Altalune and Shade Sankta were summoners of shadows. The two had fought in the First Army of Ravki multiple times. There were others like them, but none as cruel or evil as them. Shade Sankta was a vicious boy with an evil temper and rapidly growing hunger for power. Midnight Amaxi Altalune was less cruel than her significant other, Shade Sankta, but just as hungry for power. The two defected from the First Army and created the Shadow Rogues. They had one son, Raven Amaxi Altalune, and adopted one daughter, Samia Jaimys. When Raven was ten and Samia nine, the Shadow Rogues were discovered and attacked by their old friends the First Army of Ravki. Raven showed true potential until it came down to a choice that surprised everyone. Raven turned on his father and struck Shade Sankta down with a single, focused, Cut. Focusing a Cut like Raven did was supposed to be impossible. To test his power, Midnight pledged allegiance to Akuma Arison, ruler of the infamous Ukati race. But soon into that alliance, Raven defected to the First Army of Ravki and joined forces against his family and old friend, Anu Ketya. Soon after nearly killing Anu Ketya, Raven fled, becoming a defector and unaccepted by his old Shadow Rogue friends and family and by all of Ravki. Fleeing, Raven went to the human world. After many years in the human world, Raven encountered Kaia, his lost older sibling. Genetically female, Kaia seemed like another defector until she showed Raven her power. It was a weak flicker of light from her hands, but it seemed enough to convince Raven to train her until her power was strong. Then the two grew apart, shadow and light never meant to be. Kaia went to the Other House and Raven lived alone, scavenging from the forest around the Other House and hunting freely. It was until one day when he was hunting that Raven avoided the Other House at all costs. He had spotted an Ukati ship and a few Ukati. While moving forward to investigate, he was seen and attacked. Hundreds of Ukati swarmed him, pushing him back towards the Other House. He fought for a long time, taking multiple hits to his shoulders, legs, and back, but healing them with his Shadow Healing ability. Soon he began to tire, dropping to one knee. He kept up his fight, using weak Cuts and Shields to survive. It was not until a beam of light blasted the Ukati away from him that he was able to catch his breath. It was Kaia, coming to rescue her lost brother. Kaia was able to force the Ukati away and went to tend to Raven, who had passed out on the ground. When Raven woke, he was inside the Other House, laying on her bed. His wounds were bandaged and Kaia standing over him, her eyes wide with fear and worry. He tried to stand but Kaia gently forced him back down. His life was in her hands, in the hands of his older sister, Raven knew he would survive. But he had no trust in Kaia, why would he? The last time they had seen each other was when they tried to kill each other. Back in Ravki, Midnight and Anu were working to find the firewolf, a living amplifier, and kill it for fur, for sport. In the human world, Raven was well again and soon left the Other House with Kaia. Of course, the two went their separate ways once more, Kaia going to a manor across the forest from the Other House, and Raven living alone in the forest once more. He fought the Ukati a few more times but they had seemed to have stood down. Kaia had gone to the manor with a new "friend," Beal. But the truth behind the friendship had remained secret until Sukai Arison revealed the truth. Once, a long time ago, Kaia had fought Beal, blinding him, then convinced Tensi Arison to alter his memories so that it was not Kaia but an animal that had blinded him. Kaia was hurt by the betrayal and Beal had taken it much worse than Sukai had expected. Kaia was just furious with Sukai. Why had she trusted an Arison? That answer; to get Raven back. Kaia was betrayed. The Arisons proved to be untrustworthy. Raven barely survived Akuma and Midnight. Beal was blinded. Tensi altered many memories. What else will happen? What the heck happened with the Other House? What even is the Other House actually? Who else will be hurt in the wake of the Shadow Rogues? Will anyone stop Raven from destroying everything everyone worked for? What happened to Kaia and her/their light summoning power? Keep roleplaying to find out. (sketch of Raven in spoiler.
