Same Sex Breeding Item

And if anyone still thinks something like this can be exploited by players, op already said that they intended this to only be for pair bonds. So if you think someone is going to create a pair bond, have the pups, and then disband them only to put them in another pair bond for stat pups,,,, it takes 30 RO's to create a new pair bond. A whole IRL MONTH. That will encourage players to actually think about who they're pairing and making it count. So unless anyone is that dedicated to building stats then I doubt anyone would be exploiting this feature anytime soon lmao. I like the idea of wet nurse wolves, it can be a sub-role given to female pupsitters that have already been bred before I think. Just a little suggestion. And the coigerch idea is also good for players like me that sell our souls in the TC or raffle hub for GC. Also, I read through all 11 pages and saw the people in between the texts saying they didn't read the discussion and then saying things that completely disregard the original idea is just- why? Please listen to the discussion before inserting your ideas. Case in point: I think this is a wonderful idea <3 |

I feel that removing sex from the family history page (or adding complications) would be detrimental without any benefit to anyone not interested in using the feature. I don't roleplay or what-have-you so I would personally ignore the feature itself (like I ignore instant delivery), but if it affects family history pages, I would have to oppose. If this is about roleplay, and not getting around game mechanics re: sex ratios/gene pool contribution, I feel that a pronoun change would be less disruptive to other players while achieving the same effect. I feel it's necessary to mention I am a homosexual Side note: I don't really see where the argument for this happening IRL is coming from. There is no human precedent for genetic same-sex reproduction as far as I'm aware. Surrogacy and IVF happen, and are socially considered to be biological children of both parents, but a pedigree would not reflect this, as half the genetic information is from an opposite-sex donor (Not including intersex conditions here, as they do not occur on Wolvden). |

Not sure why something like this would be game-breakingly confusing (assume if the same name is listed twice it's a different wolf lol I made this in 2 minutes on snapchat) Also just for everyone - your personal sexual orientation isn't exactly relevant to the conversation, so don't feel the need to out yourself. All that matters is the content of your argument. Edit: Thank you everyone for your support!! and I think the idea of it being a one time only purchase, like pup stages, is a really good one |

my one idea for this would be the item being a lunar shop item (since those are monthly events) and the lunar event is already pretty mystical and seems to celebrate life and death. i had the idea of there being an NPC that you could take your pair to for specialized breeding & you'd chose which wolf acts as the stud and which the pup bearer (since, realistically, f/f and m/m human couples can bear and have children with one another), but that would probably interfere with heat cycles - but also, males don't have heat cycles though i imagine breeding them would put them on a cooldown of some sort... it could also be a year round npc, though i think having a lunar species npc would be suitable. idk if they can survive in the 'normal' world outside of lunar week though. still learning the lore i dunno, but i hope the team can come up with an idea to keep it fair and also inclusive for same sex and/or gender breeding |

When it comes down to it, they made adoption because we all wanted same sex couples to be able to have pups together, not in order to collect rare pups cheaply, so I don't think this suggestion will ever be considered because that's what adoption was made for. Imo they should update adoption so that the pups lineage is more involved with the adoptive parents, but of course they can't do that because it will affect other areas of the game. To me the adoption aspect is nearly useless because the pups aren't really on the family tree anyway and it all has no bearing on your actual wolves, they might as well just have told us "just buy pups in tc and pretend they're adopted". It would be extremely cool if we got those adoption ideas realised but in the form of this instead, like finding lost puppies in an event (the november event maybe?) or something |

No core features are being changed; in the end, two wolves are bred and one wolf in the pack gets the pregnancy status. I feel that only three changes *must* be made: 1) an item or subscription to allow same-sex pairbonds to breed; 2) a simple GUI to select which wolf gets the pregnancy status (for same-sex breedings only); and 3) changing the pedigree to say "family tree 1" and "family tree 2." (see spoiler) So nothing is changed for players who don't use this feature, and players who do are happy. and if the Baiwar Duniya was female and Jane was male: |

I do think it should be balanced by costing GB or being an event item/feature, though. Because if it's too cheap or easy to get, it'd functionally replace the sex-changer for breeding projects. |
