how do breeding males/stud requests work?

so I get the concept, but there are a couple of spots in the Studding Settings section that I don't get:

there's a minimum fertility? why?

what are stud rules?

how will this affect my wolf/pack?

To breed your females must have at least 1% fertility.  Anything lower than that is Infertile and you will need an item bought from the fertility snake to be able to breed. Some people will only breed with females of a certain percent as the lower the fertility the longer it may take to get a wolf pregnant, but lower fertility has a slight increase in producing mutations as well.

Stud rules are mostly set by the player, only game specific rules are that the wolf must have 1% fertility and a certain percentage hunger/amusement but anything else can be set player to player.

Unless you plan to breed outside of your pack none of it should have much of an affect on you and your wolves. If you are starting out breeding amongst your own wolves will be cheaper in the long run, but if you wish to keep the inbreeding to a minimum you would eventually have to reach out to other studs.
