Thread Here. Should I offer refunds? I feel like if I did ppl may take advantage and ask for refunds but then still use my art. :/ Should I ask for payment upfront and in full? If I didn't what if they never pay and then still use my art after I show them? I also don't know what to charge for my art. Dx If you guys have any other rules and stuff worth sharing please do share! I'm kind of lost. Edit: And if you have any tutorials or knowledge about setting up a payment thing for real money, please do share. |

1. I don't think doing refunds is good for after the art is complete, if you show them a WIP sketch (with a watermark) then they ask for a refund, I think that's viable. Always keep a watermark until they've paid in full and confirmed they want it. 2. What I do is have them pay half upfront, show the sketch to prove I'm doing their commission. After they send the rest of the payment I finish it. 3. I don't have any reccomendations for real currency, my sales are in GC... Sorry, lol. You could set up a Paypal, though it takes a bit of a fee. I'm not sure what other options there are. |

As for what to charge? Charge a little more than you think your art is worth. You'll get burnt out very quickly if you underpriced yourself, especially if art takes you a while to do. Constantly changing your prices to be lower will drive buyers away, why buy from you now if you might sell for even cheaper? No one wants to feel like they got ripped off because your incoming commissions are slow. |
