Night finished his breakfast before stretching. Evening was stretching into nighttime now, his favorite time. Shaking out his pelt, he trotted down to the river before taking a drink. The rainforest was as loud as normal but he was going to check out the swamp today. Maybe find a new den for a bit before he moved on yet again. He had gotten used to the rainforest and it was time for some new sights. Trotting back down the trail, he passed his marker before finding the ground wetter than it had been earlier. Perfect. Now that he was in the swamp, he hopped to dry patches of land, searching for a cave that would be his new den. His pelt blended in nicely with the darkness now, making it seem like he was a moving shadow.

Lavender Mist glance at Rhew, not knowing what to say.

"Yeah.. I guess we're good."

Come on. You know you can tell everything. It's your packmate.

The female shakes her fur, letting her pelt heat up on the sunlight. She gazes deep into the forest, carefully observing the other wolves like if she first saw them. Lavender Mist hated getting heavily injured in any way, forced to stay in camp and be useless. As she gives Rhew another gaze, she drops her head and closes these striking violet eyes.

Raggedcrow comes out of the hunters' cave, limping heavily despite his two and half years of life. Hah, that was just an effect after the sleep. The male stretches, lurking through the trees and heading off, into the forest. Maybe he could do good in a lone hunt. Lone. He was born to be a loner. Raggedcrow sighs, getting deeper, crawling under the dappling sunlight. He gazes around, wary of the atmosphere. Sniffing the air. Oh. What a delicious scent...
He gets lower, spotting the back of a simply recognizable critter! Ah! A rabbit!
Ready to pounce.
You're okay, Ragged.
He shakes everything off in a leap, locking his jaw on the small animal's neck, causing fatality. He digs the prey under the tree which brought death to the critter, heading further into the forest in hopes of more prey.

"So, what am I supposed to do again?" Padpa asked. "Well, I want to see how you hunt. You will sniff out the prey and I will hide in the bushes watching. If you hunt successfully, you can keep it. Once you can't see me, you may start."

Jasper swiftly went over to the bushes, positioning himself so he could follow Padpa without the prey or Padpa seeing him. Padpa looked around at the bushes.

Okay, I'm unable to see him. I'll start right away. He quickly raised his nose into the air. Sniffing, he allowed the scents of the forest to flow into his nostrils.

After a while, he could scent a chipmunk. Not big enough, but I'll hunt it if I can't find anything else. He sniffed some more, and could only find chipmunk. Hesitantly, he set a paw ahead of him.

He found himself running, his paw pads softly hitting the dirt. Finally, he heard the chipmunk scrambling in the ferns. Slowly and steadily, he snuck through the bushes, until... He sprang over to the chipmunk. He chased it until he grabbed it in his maw.

With one bite, the chipmunk was dead. Suddenly, Jasper materialized. "Good job," he said. "But... let's try again. Try and catch something bigger, and faster." Padpa nodded. "Will do."

After catching rabbits to show his strength and speed, sorting herbs to show his intelligence on herbs, searching lands to see his skills on scouting, Jasper had made his decision.

"I've done everything. Am I qualified to join?" Jasper looked over his shoulder. Please, say yes!! "I've decided. You are a hunter. Congratulations!"

Raggedcrow quietly pads through the forest, enjoying the last moments of warming summer. Huh, enjoying? What's enjoyable here, anyways, I guess. Hunt and bring prey. No actual happiness in life. He sighes, getting deeper and trying to catch a single scent.

If only- Shake that off, Ragged.

Distant raven cawing. I understand you, buddy. You hunt aswell, and feed your fa-... Shake that off.

Raggedcrow smirks at the sight of a calm, dark brown mouse minding its business in the bushes. He was ready to pounce, boosted on his hind legs and- Oh. It was making a cozy nest. For it's... It's.... Guess your lucky day is today. Ragged skips the critter, swiftly digs up the pretty fresh rabbit carcass and heads to the camp.

Raggedcrow itches his head quickly. It was too strong. Hopefully, it's not them. Unbearable.. Raggedcrow suddenly barks at himself, dropping the only prey. He looks down at his paws. The male growls shortly, picking the "resting" rabbit and heading to a small, soon-to-be filled carcass pile.

Raggedcrow shakes his long, dark curly fur. His hazel eyes stopped on a.. New, unknown, weird looking wolf. Anyways, Ragged wouldn't like him either way, just like he did to every single packmate, except... No exceptions. Raggedcrow stands up, just to think about something for a moment and drop back into a lying position. He flexed his claws, but for what? Nothing, well.
