Hi all,

Apologies for the lack of activity, I was planning to wait until public access to do our first competition/set up the discord. Unfortunately, PA has been delayed for longer than I thought it would be, so, with that in mind...

Would anyone be interested in a small raffle, with discounted tickets for clan members? The prizes would be a Cure-For-All and 5GC, with unlimited 1SC tickets for members, and 2SC tickets for anyone else ^u^

Preferred Nickname: sandshrew

Foundation Pair: Farley and Winter

Pack Name: the Snowstep

Challenge Level: standard

Optional Rules: 1, 3, 4a, 5

NIB / LIB / IB / OCR: NIB

Breeding Partners: n/a

(some small notes: the way i introduce the "next generation" will be the absolute youngest of the current leading pairs pups, picking one from the litter based on stats/looks/what have you, then finding a mate for that pup to also be the herbalist. new blood each generation,  but only wolves with farley and winter in their heritage are viable to be next leader. only the leader and herbalist are allowed to breed)

Hi sandshrew, welcome to the clan!

Are you planning to use NBWs for your herbalist/breeding male? I've been trying to reach level 15 and find a male with exclusive traits, but it feels like it's taking forever, haha

im not entirely sure yet! ive given it a little bit of thought, and if i dont use nbws then id have to buy pups from other people, which could get tricky the more i restrict myself. i wanna slowly build up the overall stats of my pack, which could get harder if i rely on nbws for fresh blood, but... honestly the only solution ive got rn is that its a problem for future me to figure out

Ah, I see. I've heard that the percentage of stats your puppies receive from their parents gets nerfed heavily the higher you go, so I'm a little worried about that. Waiting until your wolves are level 20 might help, but I'm sure there'll be a lot more data for us to go on by the time we need to replace ^^

probably! im not aiming for leaderboard level stuff, just a general increase over time. if i use the latest possible pups for the next generation i should be able to get the most gains out of each pair

So far the trend is tnat pup stats equal approximately 30-35% of the parents’ combined stats.

so (sire + dam) x 0.3 is a good way to estimate where your pups will fall.

Welcome to the clan Ellie! Your foundation pair look like they'll go well together and make some lovely pups ^^

Btw, I'll be going through the member list and adding links to everybody's profile page soon. It should make it easier to find everyone and make friends (and for me to give out the discord invites!)
