Need some help understanding the conventions of the trading center

I would like to buy and sell some wolves, but there's so many abbreviations and short-hand in trades that I really don't understand (like "NBW | 236 | Amber 2.5%" or "f pup // ashen // 6m (x3 100%) // OFFER" or "Ashen HM ZEP WIU"). What do you usually put in the name of the trade, and what to the different abbreviations mean?

Also, how are wolves usually priced? What kind of things should I take into account when pricing them to sell or make offers on? Would it be better to accept offers rather than setting a buyout?

Sorry I'm so dumb about this stuff, there just aren't any guides on it.

NBW stands for Newly Befriended Wolf - usually indicates a fresh wolf that was recently tamed
The 236 beside it means stats: This wolf has a total of 236 stats. Stats are a good thing to put in bios so people at a glance can tell how many the wolf has without having to either plug in search parameters or look themselves. Higher stats, higher price

F or M alone is usually the wolf's sex. Females are typically higher priced.

M with a number (5M, 2m, 8m) indicate how many markings a wolf has. Wolves with more markings are generally preferred as they have more chances to pass them on. % next to this number usually indicate what opacity these markings have. So 6M (x3 100%) is: this wolf has 6 markings, 3 of them are at 100% opacity. Higher opacity in general is preferred since most markings lose opacity as they are bred.

Amber/Ashen in these examples are base colors. The % next to Amber is the current percentage of that wolf base in game, which could be an indicator of rarity. Some tier 1 bases are more rare that tier 2, but tier 2 are generally preferred for breeding.

As for buying/selling your own wolves, it really depends what you want from them! I personally sell my pups rather cheap but I also have only sold my tier 1s, as I am keeping my tier 2 for breeding. There's also "popular" markings: merle, inuit, and breed only markings. Those can also factor into a wolf's price.

Hope this helped!

zarouhi already nailed the explanation, i'm just commenting cuz i think this post is really sweet lol. when i first started playing lioden i didn't understand a single word of the trading center and so i just kinda avoided it (obviously missed out on a lot by doing that) and i was never brave enough to just ask. now that i'm playing wolvden 3 years later, i've learned to speak the lingo, but it's sweet to see someone else sharing my experience

Chives said it all!

Another pricing tip I have (which will get easier once more wolves are in circulation and the sc:gc exchange is more stable) is to look for the base you're selling in the trading center with a similar age range and compare prices. If you have high stats, add that in (maybe remove the base to just compare stat prices if you don't get any or very few results), factor in if you have few or many markings, and then average those numbers to a price. If that makes sense?

Yes it's a bit of a language, a new trick I've seen just for wolvden is showcasing personalities as emojis like:

☯️ Stoic

🔥Aggressive

⭐Friendly

❤️Romantic

As it matches the wiki team grouse guide on personalities.

Not sure on the 'HM WIU ZEP' if I had to guess all caps like that are usually abbreviations for certain markings, but I don't think there's a lot of established agreed upon terms yet.
