Zanadana - P.U.P LaboratoryHer ears twitched as she listened out for more dogs, her ears met the sound of barks, they sounded a little off, barely audible and now with the racket of metal she had a hard time hearing the little barks. "Hmm." She let out a little sound as she listened a little longer before making her way to a cage, where she thought the barks were coming from. Studying the cage door for a moment the large malamute mix quickly worked out how the lock worked, lifting a latch. "Hey." She barked in a soft kind tone, making sure not to come off threatening, as she looked over this odd canine, vines from out of them? Seemed so, she just hoped they were not in pain. (Yay new members welcome! And nice to see this back active again!) |

Whisper- P.U.P LaboratoryWhisper curled up in the back of her kennel putting her front legs over her ears as a way to block out the loud barks. She smelled dogs, metal, dry dog food, and more dogs. It made her shiver. Being away from the snow and mountains felt foreign to the husky mix. She also felt out of place with her pure white fur and crystal blue eyes. "I just want to go home." The female whimpers sadly. She still remembers the day the humans in white took from her beautiful home. It was like any normal day. She woke up her human boy and ran down the stairs for breakfast. Today was a big day for her. She got to go with the big male human to help with search and rescue. While she was eating breakfast a knock on the door made her look up. Three males all adults. Whisper sniffs the air. The big human was talking with the three strangers. The next thing Whisper knew she had a leash on and was being taken out of the house. That was the last time she saw her family and the mountains of Canada. Sighing Whisper closed her eyes and whimpered again. "I miss the snow and the pines." |

He stuck his muzzle in the air in an attempt to locate the scents of the others. Close, maybe a few kennels down, he could tell that there was a dog. They likely had been the one to call out… Lurch lowered his head as he walked forward to try and find them. He was near as he caught the tail-end of the words they had just spoken, "Hey there. No snow or pines here, huh? How about we try getting you out?". |

"Wh-who exactly are you?" She whispers softly and looks at him. "Why did this happen? Why us?" The husky mix whines and lowers her head in sadness. |

He hooked those long claws of his, which had gotten so long due to the absence of humans, under the edge of the metal door and started prying at it. Lurch was looking for weak spots which was a particularly strong trait of his Malinois lineage. "I honestly don't quite know why it happened. I intend to find out… Why it happened to us? Random chance. It could of happened to anyone." |

Whisper- P.U.P Laboratory"My name is Whisper, may I help you figure out why this happened?" The husky mix stepped back a little to let the male do what he needed. Hearing the metal screech in protest as he was prying it open made her shake and lay her ears flat against her head. That noise is so loud, it hurts. |

I'll do a little recap of Firefly and Bluebell here for their reference! Do I need to repost the map I made before? I believe they are three stories underground currently. The dogs are not aware of this, but outside is apocalyptic and the scientists have all left in a hurry after a local attack. They have been alone for roughly a week.)) Firefly tapped her paws shyly on the tile, looking away from Kalim. "Yeah… the humans called my power 'night light.'" She was become more and more aware that she was… different than the other dogs here. Big, scary dogs in big cages. And her, a fluffy little Shetland sheepdog light. She was aware of this briefly, as she was neighbors with Bluebell for so long. Firefly got the simple locked cage. It has been that way since she could remember. She was born here. For her tests, she was brushed in dark rooms. She played with squeaky toys of brightly colored animals she had never seen. The scientists talked of "children" and "comfort during this difficult time." She was returned to her cage back then with glossy fur and cheek kisses. Bluebell's cage would open next to hers. He was always a good dog, but he was watched very carefully. The scientists kept him harnessed. He was walked with purpose, his long borzoi legs striding easily around the pens while his spotted Dalmatian fur was highly visible in the fluorescent lighting. They kept hands away from him and didn't encourage him to play with his mouth. He'd be rewarded for biting through leather, ceramic, metal. A few pets, then back to his carefully constructed circular cage that made it hard for him to bite onto. Bluebell's voice broke her from her thoughts, "Hi Kalim. How many are left? Firefly and I might try to move on soon." He looked around at the other cages. It was getting a little crazy and hard to see who needed help. |

CLYDE-P.U.P. LABIt was 2 days since Clyde was put In the p.u.p. Lab. He was put in a small metal cage. He didn't like it. It hurt his body and his extra limb. His cage was mostly isolated, surrounded by empty cages, some full of miserable dogs. He missed the wild. |
