The Light and Dark

The war has lasted 10 years. The two packs Lightheart and Darkclaw have always hated each other, and though the wolves who started the war are gone, the wolves continue to battle, driven by the idea that if they ever stop they will be destroyed. The Lightheart pack believe in helping all, that everyone has a reason they came into the world. The Darkclaw value only strength and helping their own pack, the weak are left to die. Which side will you join, and will you bring peace, or continue the fight?

" oh, hello primrose." Bright star sat up straighter. " The forest today, I can here some wolves"

Primrose went still, "Darkclaw?" Lately, the Shadow wolves had been creeping into their territory, stealing prey, fighting lone hunters, and scouts. If Bright star could hear them from here though that meant they were close. Everyone in camp was waiting for the next attack, it had almost been two months, which was the longest Primrose had ever seen the fighting stop. 

Pine sat just outside the Alpha's den, still as he watched his pack go about their normal routine. He went back inside the cave to find Sayia. "This springs puppies are almost adolescents, I say we need no more than half a month until they are ready to fight. Meanwhile, our hunters have been dwindling in numbers, but I don't know if we should take any of our fighters away to help aid them." He started pacing the den, "I'm getting restless, I'm sure they have let their guard down by now, we should attack while we have the element of surprise, while their pack is still weak." He laid down next to Sayia, agitated.

" yes, they are planning something. Be careful." She looked at the wolf and smiled she had her full trust

Primrose nodded and walked out of camp. She wasn't that far away when she heard a twig snap, and inhaled the scent of another wolf, "Who's there?" She growled.

The young little Lume got so scared, that she pelted Primrose with an nearby pebble and ran to the Lightheart base to complete  what was sent here to do: steal their food and come back safe and sound.

“AAAAAH! I JUST CAME HERE FOR THE FOOOD!” She quickly put all the food in a basket, went invisible, and took the basket with her. She quickly sped off, wanting to go back to her base again, and be in the arms of her loving sister.

Primrose yelped in surprise and picked up the scent of the pup. After seeing her go invisible she growled, "Darkclaw." Following the scent, she gave chase but was pulled away a few times by the stale scent of fox and bear. Eventually, she reached the Darkclaw border, and sighed, feeling disappointed after failing to catch the intruder. On her way back to camp, she a hare in the underbrush, but it also managed to elude her. Inside Lightheart camp, she saw several wolves muttering about what this meant. It was autumn, winter right around the corner. The pack had already been working hard to stockpile, not to mention this would make them have to take more of their scouts and guards and put them on hunting patrol, making the whole pack overall weaker.

Okami quickly noticed the basket and wagged her tail-! She was so glad to see her sister safe. “Lume! You’re back!” Lume quickly gave her older sister a giant bear hug. She was actually crying a little. “Okaaaamiiii-! There was a mean wolf girl chasing meee-! I thought she might hurt meee-!” Okami frowned, and hugged her tighter. “There, there, little sister. They can’t hurt you. They wouldn’t dare. We are much stronger than them, and after your harvest, they wouldn’t even think about it! Besides, I will always be here to protect you. Okay?” Lume sniffed. “Okayy...”

Okami took the harvest to her Alphas, and went back to working on cures for the flu. Lume went back to playing by herself, always near Okami, just like always. She took the little dolls that she got in the Lightheart base a long time ago, and she pretended that she was beating up the wolf that had chased her earlier. “Take that, stupid mutt!” One doll said. “Ouch! I’m sorry for trying to hurt you, please give mercy!” The other doll said. “NEVER!” The first doll said, and threw that other doll into a nearby puddle. Okami simply laughed, fetched her doll back, and continued.

Pine smiled at the food, it looks like they wouldn't have to worry about extra hunters after all. He walked out of his den, not affected by the cold breeze blowing through the clearing, and walked over to some of his Beta wolves to began making preparations for battle.
