Adjust Announcements, Forums, and Applications in Groups

I love the new groups system! I just think a few things would make it more user-friendly!
Announcements
- Make it possible to pin announcements. This way, if you have a group overview, it doesn't get pushed to the bottom as you make more.
- I also think it would be great to allow a "comment on announcements" option where there's a button on the side to click into a comment section. This way it wouldn't clutter up the main page but would allow owners/mods of groups to see the opinions of the members more readily.
Forums
- This is a commonly shared opinion but I'm not sure if someone has made a game development post about it (apologies if they have), but forums in groups should function just like chatter, with subscriptions and editing posts. Right now it's super inconvenient to have to manually check threads as well as comment every time there's an update instead of just editing the main post! This is especially important for R&C records and sales threads within groups.
- If pinging is ever implemented into chatter I think that would also be helpful for group forums!
Applications
- As of right now, I think the applications feature is only really helpful to view a player and make sure they're not somebody you're trying to avoid, but in that case, why not just use the block feature? I think applications would make more sense if
A) they were used for groups that required a joining fee to boost their bank/make up for the slots taken, which is a whole separate idea in itself, or
B) if applications required a short little text box response of why you're interested in joining that group.
- This brings me to my next point: I think owners should have an option to allow interested players to view a synopsis of a group description/goals/rules before joining. Yes, we have the tiny description below the title, but that's barely enough to tell what a group is for. This sneak peek would not have to allow players to view the bank, hoard, or forums, but just announcements and/or a separate "overview" page.
I know this post is long and my ideas would probably take a decent amount of coding, but I think they would be helpful in the long run! Feel free to add any of your own thoughts in the comments :)

Pinning announcements might be useful. Regarding comments there's already implemented chain button that views highlighted announcement and I think there's a lot of space to have comments implemented.
Agreed about forums being like chatter - currently it's just a downgraded version which source code looks to have been built from the scratch instead of copying the chatter. I find it hard to imagine how forum could be at least as good as chat when intended function is the same.
Group descriptions are only visible when the group is set as public and found on the list of groups. The group page from outside has a lot of space to use and it'd be great to put there what non-member are supposed to read. Currently, forums can serve this purpose but it's not as efficient because first: info on non-default tab appeals to much less users and second: when the author is blocked you can't read the synopsis of the group description/goals/rules.

I run a fairly decent sized clan based around writing & sharing artwork on wolvden, and let me tell you, it is the most exasperating thing to not have the ability to edit, delete, or otherwise manage posts made by our staff and users in our forum :< Its really discouraging for a lot of users who want to use our forums as a place to store their writing only to look back and realize you made a typo thats. now there forever. and theres nothing you (or our clan staff) can do about it.
Please, at the bare minimum, (because I would very much like to have the ability to 'stick' and 'lock' threads), give group staff the ability to delete posts and group members the ability to edit their own posts like we can in regular chatter. As it is, theres very little reason for us to use our own forum and thats very frustrating :,>

I just came to this section to see if anyone had already requested the option to Pin announcements. 100% support! Having to repost the same rule announcement every time it get's bumped down by other announcements is a big bummer. I hadn't thought of allowing comments, but as long as it didn't clutter the landing page I think that would be a cool addition.
Fully support the requests that forums in groups should function just like chatter, with subscriptions and editing posts is a no-brainer to me and I have to imagine it's in the works somewhere.
Since our group doesn't use the applications feature I don't really have an opinion one way or the other on that request.
