Sundown doesn't usually give you gifts, and you're leery as they grin suggestively when you take it. You really don't want to hear what, in their opinion, you can do with it. Promise,' he answered with a straight face. 'Can you tell me the story yet? You said I only have to get just a biiiiiit older before you'll tell me. That was yesterday. Now I'm older.' Gale rambled on. Spectre gave a long suffering sigh. 'Okay, okay, I give. I'll tell you the story at sundown. Come find me then.' Gale's eyes went wide; she'd been bugging him for weeks. ~ 'A long, long time ago, in this territory, there was a lone wolf. A wanderer. He came to call this place home. That all changed on a foggy night. He awoke to pawsteps, right outside his den. He thought it was odd, that a wolf would suddenly appear, after months of not seeing a soul. The fog thickened with each step. It was coming. Closer, and closer. Now, being a somewhat brave wolf, our wanderer sprang from his den. He was hoping to surprise the intruder, but that's not what happened at all. No, when he landed, he landed on the forest floor. Above him, the ghostly shape of a wolf was waiting. Watching, through clouded blue eyes. He tried to speak, but his voice was different. It was muffled, like he was swimming in the river. The wolf leaned in, and whispered. 'Get out of my forest.'" Nobody knows where Spectre really came from, or how a blind pup even got to the territory alone. Or why Blackbird had that look on her face when she brought him to the pack. North Death Age: 8 Years. Pre Heron Sahara (North's Mate) Died, 2023-04-07 Part of the ragtag group of wolves that started the Cascades Pack. Paired with North. Spring [I] — "Gone. The pups were both gone. Stricken by a mysterious illness. North had tried his best, but nothing had worked. She didn't blame him, or anyone else. Not even herself. Sahara had been huddled in the herbalist's den for days, along with her mate. The whole pack was in shock." Heron A tired, yet extremely talented herbalist. He just wishes that everyone would stop getting themselves hurt. Especially the hunters. Cue the long, heavy sighs. Spring [V] — "'You all need to be more careful. Just take better care of yourselves. I'm sick and tired of fixing up the same wolves every single d—' Blackbird opened her mouth to speak. 'Save it,' he barked, before continuing to address his pack. 'Going forward, anyone, yes, anyone, who gets injured badly enough that they need medicinal care, is not leaving camp for a week.' With that, he left the clearing and stalked off to his den, but not before shooting Blackbird a final glare." |
