Edit: yanno this ended up turning into kind of a suggestion post so I went ahead and made one here. I copied and pasted a lot of what I already wrote so why not head on over if you agree (or disagree!).

This is very cool and and very exciting! I, like many others here, wonder what it's going to be about! Last time there was maintenance was feeding/play changes I think? And Coigreach! I don't remember a time the site was shut down for just a small update, so I am hoping it's something big

Like the badger base maybe? Or Enclave currency?

But at the same time I wonder why no official announcement mentions anything about what the content of the update will be?

Even something tiny, like "we are scheduling a small downtime to roll out some of the pending group updates that we mentioned in Development Update #17!" or, "Get excited for some small hunting changes we talked about in Development Update #16!" Knowing what to expect would give us something to look forward to, and help temper expectations. I doubt it'll be another full month event because we're already a week into May but that doesn't stop people from hoping.

Last time admins gave us a whole day to speculate about what an update will be was during the game's one year anniversary. There was a red banner at the top of the site and a note at the top of the chatbox saying they will post an update "soon."

Turns out that "soon" was about 24 hours later, and during that time everyone was going crazy thinking up what the new development update could be. It was raffles, which was nice, but probably not what most people were thinking about because we are left in the dark about nearly every upcoming decision!

The resulting disappointment in chat led to this message which has become legendary in a few of my friend circles: (read top to bottom, I pasted it together)

Telling us what is currently in the works, or dropping little teasers here and there on social media, would be really appreciated! Any communication is better than nothing. And yes, there was a chatter thread asking about groups and feeding/care changes, but without an official confirmation it could be any one of the things that were teased in past polls or mentioned in updates, such as:

- New enemies
- Pack relationship/personalities
- Talent trees
- More minigames
- Seasonal biome-exclusive decors
- New lethal
- Natural looking new mark
- New craftable base
- Raven encounters
- Karma
- Enclave currency/shop
- Wishlist
- Nesting pose
- New scars, and ways to get them
- New body ornament decors
- Henna markings (beyond panda)
- Ambience decor
- New eyes
- Hunting Overhaul
- more clan features (see dev #17)
- Group themed decor

So what'll it be? I wish I knew
