Thank you all for your patience with our short maintenance earlier today! Hunting Changes We are continuing some of the quality changes that began with feeding & caring today with some hunting updates! Hunting can now be performed in any biome. If you live in a more challenging biome you may want to send your hunters to an easier biome where they might have more luck with food. In addition to this change, you can now send out more than one hunting party at a time; up to four at any one time. This is dependent on a couple of things - your territory size, and the time you have. Your territory size defines how many hunting parties you can send out at once: 1-24: 1 hunting party The time restriction is in place for all hunts, not just additional hunts. If you send your hunting party out in your home biome, then everything will feel the same as before. Beyond that, each border of land that your hunting party has to cross incurs a +15min time penalty on top of the time it takes to hunt. For instance, if you are based in the Grasslands and want to send your wolves to the Taiga, it will take them an additional 30 minutes, increasing their total hunting time to 1 hour. Plus Some Small Hunting Tweaks Failed hunts now have a 33% chance for your wolves to bring a critter carcass back as a consolation prize. Additionally, the seasonal debuffs in harder biomes have been lowered to not feel quite as punishing! Retirement To go along with these hunting changes, we have taken into consideration the fact that when your lead wolf retires, your scouted biomes are fully reset. We have adjusted this so that two of your scouted biomes remain: those closest to your borders. If you are in a biome with more than two scouted border biomes, it will pick randomly from the available biomes. If you are in the Glacier or Rainforest, it will pick the two closest biomes regardless of those places only having one bordering biome. Anyone that retired before the news post and maintenance today, or yesterday (5th May) has had two neighbouring biomes unlocked, providing they had them scouted out before. If those biomes had scouts sent out already they have been adjusted to fully unlock when the scout finishes. New Base! Badger enemies can drop a recipe to craft a new base applicator: Base Applicator [Badger]! This new base is a Muted Medium Tier III base. This is a base that can be bred without the applicator, just like the Fox base. It can appear during general Tier III breedings!
