Romeo padded through the forest on silent paws, following the scent of elk. Whisper got restless and went on his own hunt, and the others followed. Romeo didn't mind. A big game hunt wasn't the most suitable thing for a pup, and at least the others would keep him safe. He just hoped that one of them came to help once he'd found his prey.

The red-furred wolf stalked low to the ground, keeping hidden from sight. He snuck through the undergrowth until he was positioned just a few metres away from a small herd of elk. A victory howl echoed through the forest - Whisper must have caught something.

Good for the pup. Romeo thought to himself.

The howl made the elk nervous. They snorted and looked around, ears flicking. Good. Romeo wanted them nervous.

With a howl of his own to summon backup, he charged at the herd. They bolted, terrified, going in every direction. Romeo watched carefully for one separated from the herd. There! A small female had run East, whereas the rest of the herd was heading West or North. Romeo ran after the solo female, herding her away from her companions, and letting out intermittent howls so that if anyone came to help they'd know where he was. 		KingOfCats

Rain perked up and started running with no warning, Is the male hurt? No, that wasn't a warning howl, he spotted Romeo and sowed himself by nipping at the bull's heels, herding her towards the omen meadows.

Aurubu pelted, keeping to the side. Once the prey came her way, she would boost herself forwards and try taking it down.
