"Hey." Rain said "I suggest you avoid sleeping at night here, a lot of dangerous critters are out when it gets dark, and won't hesitate to make a nice meal out of a wolf in their sleep, other places are better about it."

"…" he looks up at the white wolf and says
"My sister, Owl. Was killed when we were young..I don't know why I lived. But I was given a name and raised. Eventually, they got tired of me, I couldn't hunt on my own. So they chased me." He stays quiet for a bit.

"Every time I sleep, it replays in my head. I know I shouldn't even be alive, I should be great full, but I remember my sister, who was so young. Not even an adolescent, killed right in front of me. Yet I was spared."

"If it makes you feel any better, I should've died long ago. I don't know why I'm even here- these legs were my death, and yet I still live. . . My parents named me when I had just became an adolescent, they didn't want to name a pup they thought was going to die. Looks like we were both spared by unknown reasons." He looked at Rain, and his eyes told no secrets.
