Rain scratches and snaps at the tiny beast, but the badger no Rain thinks badgers there's two
One pulls his tail as the other tears at his face and chest and Rain starts to loose consciousness

(ah yes, badgers, cute but will tear your face off with no hesitation)

Mirage pounced on the badger attached to Rain's tail, the sudden attack along with adrenaline making it easy to kill the thing with a bite to the throat. He grabbed the one on Rain's face and pulled it off, wrangling it to the ground; putting his paw on the badger's neck, he applied all his weight onto the thing until he heard a snap- and the badger went limp. He didn't give himself time to think before managing to lift Rain onto his own back and running back to the clearing as fast as he could.

(adrenaline man- it be crazy, also I don't know how one would fight a badger so I'm just going off what I think would happen sorry)

The wolf mutters something unintelligible. His body is covered with blood. Mirage can't even see the gashes

He grabbed the salve he had made earlier and immediately rushed towards the scent of a moving river. When he had found it, he carefully brought Rain close enough towards the water so he could wash the blood away with clean water and see where the blood is coming from. He found most wounds easily enough with most of the blood gone, applying the salve he had on each wound until no wound was left without treatment. When he finished, he searched around for webs, finding some in a bundle of trees close by, and used them to try and stop the bleeding as well as he could.

The entire time the wolf groaned in pain sometimes saying "Owl, you need to go." Or "Run."
He was feverish already, badger wounds are never clean.

He whimpered, finally bringing Rain back to the clearing, a minor smell of death already surrounding him. He looked around for some herbs, any herbs he knew, and managed to find enough to make an infection balm.
  Pelt covered with blood, he began to work on the balm carefully and quietly, all while sticking close to Rain.

Rain groans then opens his eyes "Owl- AAAGH" he tried to get up, but winces when he tries to twist his body to see what wolf was tending to his wounds

"Stop moving before your wounds open again, Rain. You've lost too much blood to spare any more." He mentioned, moving just enough so he would be in Rain's line of sight.
Though his eyes betrayed nothing, his voice portrayed hurt and guilt, and it was true. He was fighting tears, not only because he thought Rain could die, but also because he believed it was his fault.

"Mirage? Hmm…not Owl…y'ok?" His speech was slurred and his eyes seemed blurry and sad.

"You got hurt, not me. You were attacked by badgers because I made you frustrated and you wandered off and I should've never spoke and-" His minor rant went silent as he finished with the balm.
"Lay down flat while I apply the balm" He instructed, all original frustration in his voice replaced with a gentle, quiet voice.

(what have we learned? Mirage works well under pressure, but doesn't feel well)
