Avery gave him a small nod, and said(telepathically),

Hiro turned around to face Elisabeth and tried to sound sad,
"Hey, sorry Elisabeth, but I'm already working with Avery! I'm sure Ms.Adams won't mind if you work by yourself?" He suggested.
Though Elisabeth was mad, he could tell that she just didn't want to be around Avery. That made him mad without any reason.

Once she left, he sat back down at his desk and asked,
"So what are we gonna do the project on? I think it needs to be about an important event in American history. Shocking, I know." He sighed.
Was suddenly confused when Avery began signing to him. He shook his head slightly and just held out his hand.

Avery took his hand, It's times like this I wish I could speak. He thought dully as he looked at Hiro. As far as the project goes, we can always just do it on the Declaration of Independence. Its something simple.

He sighed, feeling bad for him.
I know it's not much help, but you can talk to me? If you ever have something you wanna say but can't, just come find me and you can rant all you want. He thought, offering a small smile.
And as for the project, no. Everyone's gonna do the declaration. Besides, that's so boring! Let's do the Boston Massacre. It's way more gory. He suggested, smiling brightly. He could see though, that Avery wasn't all that into violence.

I..I appreciate it.He seemed a little shocked at how kind Hiro was being.
Avery seemed a little hesitant about doing it since it involved a lot of gore. But after a moment, he agreed to it. If that's what you want to do then we can do it.

He smiled brightly, glad he had won.
Yesss! We've got until next friday, but we could probably just knock it out over the weekend if you want.
He quickly realised they were getting some strange looks, but he couldn't blame them. They were just casually staring at each other while holding hands.
Amy, I think we've got an audience. He said, trying not to laugh out loud at the confusion on Avery's face.

Avery had an embarrassed look on his face, before he let go of Hiro's hand. He looked down at his paper, avoiding looking at any person in the classroom. Sky was laying beside his desk, sleeping quietly.

He looked over as he read it, waiting for him to notice.
