Hiro could tell something was wrong.
Is this one of his panic attacks?! Shit- What do I do?
He could still hear Avery's thoughts, but just barely. Even so, he knew he didn't want to go back inside.
Hiro took a small step forward, trying to not set off Skye.
"I'm gonna be honest with you here, I don't know what to do. Just tell me what you need me to do." He asked seriously, holding out his hand.

Avery shook his head and took a step back from him. He swallowed as he closed his eyes, and he quickly tried to wipe away his tears. His hands were still shaking, and Skye whimpered trying to calm him down.

Hiro stayed where he was, still unsure how to go about handling the situation. He thought for a while..
Darn it.. I don't think it's safe to leave him alone with her, but he doesn't want me here. What am I supposed to do here?!
Being a demon came with a few perks, and one of them was a more intense version of telepathy, though he hadn't practised this one as much. It wasn't so much telepathy as it was mind control, but he didn't want to think of it like that.
His first task was to slow Avery's breathing, so he tried pretty hard. He didn't get much of a result, but it seemed to work a little.
"Is there anything I can do to help..?" He asked, still trying to calm him down without physical contact.

He couldn't help the awful feeling that came over him. This poor boy had to deal with so much already, along with Hiro and his friends picking on him, and yet he was the one apologising.
He responded immediately with, "Of course you can, and please don't apologise. None of this is your fault."
He took a small step forward, still worried Skye might get defensive, and held open his arms.

Skye watched him carefully. Avery instantly went into his open arms, putting his arms around him. He buried his face against him and his breathing was still shaky. A few tears still ran down his face.

He wrapped his arms around Avery, trying not to restrict his movement too much, in case that might make it worse. He heard him starting to cry, and that only made him want to hug him tighter. He let Avery stay there for as long as he wanted, rubbing his back as he slowly calmed down. This whole time, Skye had been laying there at Avery's feet, not seeming to care that Hiroshi was in his bubble.
Eventually, Avery calmed down enough to pull away.
"You feeling any better?" He spoke softly, still holding his hand.

Avery pulled away and gave a small nod, Yes...Thank you...God, I am so sorry! You never should have seen that, no one was supposed to know.
He thought as he closed his eyes for a moment.

He felt his anger resurfacing, but he kept it under control as best he could.
"Know what? That your mother is abusing you? Avery, that's ridiculous!" He sighed, sounding worried.
He pulled him in again, before muttering, "And dammit, Amy, stop apologising already.. It's not your fault."
He let him go and took a step back. Then, he decided his next course of action.
"Hey, why don't you stay with me tonight? You don't have to, but just know it's another option."
He quickly added, "You don't have to choose now! We can go get some lunch and maybe go to the park or something. You can let me know when we're done."

Avery gave a small nod, I....I would really appreciate that.. He told him. He had finally calmed down but a red hand print made its way onto his face.
