Shit- Did he see my horns.? Is he going to tell anyone? I need to call mom and let her know he's gonna spend the night, maybe a few nights. Damn that mark looks bad. He couldn't stop going back and forth between his thoughts, worrying about one thing after another. He then stopped his thoughts all together. "So- How about we head to the cafe on Oralabor St.? I hear their pizza is amazing!" And it happens to be right next to a drug store where I can get something for your face. He thought to himself. |

They got into his car, loaded up Skye, and though he didn't tell Avery, he could see his mom very aggressively talking on the phone with someone as he was pulling out of the driveway. He wasn't sure if Avery's dad was present in his life, but he got the feeling that's who his mom had been ranting to. They got to the cafe and Hiro made up some bullshit excuse about needing to make a call, which turned out to be true. After buying some stuff at the pharmacy, he paused outside to call his mom. "Hey honey, what's up? I got your note, do you need me to pick you up?" His mom asked as she was playing with Katsira. "Oh, no, I'm fine! But uh, I've kinda got a favor to ask." He could hear her sigh. "How much is bail this time?" "W-What?! No! A friend of mine needs a place to stay. He uh, can't really go home if you know what I mean.." "Hiroshi Jinei, is this 'friend' of yours a felon?!" "No, mom! I-I just don't know if he'd want me telling you. All I can say for now is that home isn't really a safe place for him." She seemed to get it, and responded quickly with, "Oh honey, of course he can stay! But where is he goi-" "He'll take my bed, I can just crash on the sofa." "Alright love, just make sure you two are home before dinner, alright?" "Got it, thanks ma! Love you!" He responded before he hung up the phone. |

"Hey, I got a few things for you, just stuff for your uh.." He trailed off, not wanting to bring it up again. Avery seemed to get it, and took the bag. He didn't take anything out of it though, he just walked up to the car and put the bag inside. "Well then, let's go eat!" He smiled, turning to head into the building. |

"Grilled chicken salad please." He quickly let his eyes turn red to let the server know what had just happened. She realised it was telepathy, and became much less tense. "Sure thing! And could I interest you two in our couple's package?" He and Avery looked at each other, both equally shocked and confused. "U-Uhm, no thank you! We're not actually a couple!" He corrected her, his face turning slightly red. "O-Oh! I am so sorry! I'll just go get your food now- Sorry!" She called again over her shoulder as she swiftly walked away. |
