She felt some blood trickling down her neck and soon Jaxx went for Sero. He lunged for his leg and the moment Jaxx bit his leg, Ashley grabbed Sero's arm that was holding the knife. She tried to get the knife away from him.

He dropped the knife and started prying the dog's mouth off of him. He got him off and stood up, knowing his time was up. He turned and ran, not turning back.

She could've sworn she heard a dog barking, and that attracted the attention of the officers in the area. She looked up, hearing footsteps growing closer.
"Hey, I think we've got one over here!" A man yelled, approaching her hiding spot.

The moment Ashley heard the peoples voice, she came out into the few of the officers. " Thank god I was looking for you guys." Ashley said. The officers questioned who she was and she told them she was a k-9 unit with the police. She had been tracking person, but they had ran off. "Jaxx was on the trial but she jumped out and got my neck. She ran off in that direction over there."

She heard voices, and suddenly, the UCA agents ran off in the opposite direction. A few moments passed before a frustratingly familiar face came around to the other side of the ferns she was hiding behind.
