  When Aixtr woke, it was early dawn. It took him a moment to open his eyes, and even longer to realize he was lying beside a sleeping Carlos with his wings gently laying over both of them in a blanket-like manner.
  He quickly, though carefully, sat up and looked around, a weird, butterfly-like feeling in his chest not letting him move any further. He hadn't slept in a while, but he hadn't slept that well at all before and it was quite confusing to him why it felt so comfortable just laying down beside Carlos. He tried to reason it was the bed, but if it was, he would've fallen asleep the first time he sat down on it. He huffed, silently trying to figure out this weird feeling in his chest and how to get rid of it.

Carlos remained asleep during most of Aixtr's movement. He was laying on his side, this time facing Aixtr. He looked so peaceful in his sleep...no longer stressed or worried...just peaceful

Aixtr looked back at Carlos and his feelings of confusion just melted and overtaken with this weird feeling of a soft, yet easily overwhelming, excitement and joy. Confused as he was, he set aside his emotions and silently laid back down next to Carlos-
  He was quickly interrupted by the sudden sound of heavy footsteps coming closer. Quickly shifting back into his dog-form, he sat up, though still on the bed, and waited to see what would happen.
