Evening Oddities {Circus; Open}

"Perfect! I'll bring my other two girls, they have their decorations fitted exactly. Maybe I'll bring in some of the other horses but they don't have as grand decor... ah. I'll see!" Rihan exclaimed, turning away from the gap, only to see... well. Nothing. Rihan shrugged and Carys simply dropped her head, nosing around for any patches of grass, unbothered by the disappearance. "Perhaps I'll let the dogs out, have them run for a bit to draw in more attention..." ----------- "Maybe we ought to go get out donuts then head to the big top. People are mostly gone, it's just that older couple really." Ilia muttered to Astrid, finishing up a small stretch. "I'm not sure if anyone is there yet and if the Ringmaster is wanting to put on a show with no one there..." She made a small humming noise, stretching into the splits. |

They nodded quickly, dropping into a split to stretch before pushing themself up from the ground. "I cant wait to see everyone's show!" They said excitedly, rocking back on their heels. "Yeah, we should have time to get some donuts, it wont hurt. Then we can scamper over to the big top!" They said, watching Ilia move into a split to stretch as well. "Hurry, hurry. We're gonna run out of time!" |

Ilia smiled, pushing herself up. "We do have some time. But yes, alright, we better get pants and something warmer on. It'll be much colder outside when we aren't moving than in here!" She sent a glance to the couple and shrugged. They'd figure it out. Jumping off stage they headed for a small wardrobe area, pulling out some warmer clothes and easy to pull on shoes. "There, take those." She called to Astrid, throwing a warmer top and pants over before plopping a pair of shoes down for them. It didn't take long to get warmer clothes on and she waited for Astrid to get ready, watching the crowd from the back entrance of the tent. |

"People have a way of trying to play hero, they'll care until it no longer benefits them." He said. It wasn't a vent, more of an interesting fact. He'd had some guests throw accusations at him before despite having done nothing. They never seemed to notice when he had done something wicked. [ Mono ] Placing the open flame onto a holder, Mono looked around at the patrons walking around the circus grounds. Everything seemed as normal as this place could be. It was noisy and busy, seemed like the guests were enjoying themselves. Mono continued on their way, keeping to the side from the main foot traffic so they didn't get in the way. |

Astrid followed her back to the wardrobe, taking the clothes from Ilia and nodding, "thanks!" They quickly pulled the clothes onto their body, sliding the shoes on and doing jazz hands. "Tada!! How do I look?" They joked, chuckling slightly. "Alright, let's go get some donuts." They said, taking Ilia's hand and running out of the tent. 《Morwenna》 She nodded softly, a sad smile adorning her features. "I understand that more than you know." She said quietly before shaking the thought out of her head. "I'm pretty sure everyone will be busy tonight so I'll probably have to stay in my tank." They sighed before reaching their hands out. "May I?" They asked, talking about holding his face in her hands. |

She grinned, letting Astrid pull her along. "Slow down! We're going to smack right into someone if you keep running that fast!" Ilia laughed, swerving around someone before their linked hands could hit them. Pulling on Astrid's hand slightly, Ilia slowed as much as she could while still keeping up. "We'll get food and make it to the big top in time!" They passed Zhangzi's usual set up and noticed the snake charmer wasn't around. Maybe they were already at the big top and they were late.... it was fine. There would be either enough people there to amuse the crowd or no one, the main show not started yet. |

Ringmaster Argent appeared at the opening of the big top tent in a silent poof of fog. Grabbing her black top hat delicately in her gloves fingertips, she raised it in a flourish above her head. A crowd had started to grow at the tent entrance- which first jumped in shock at her arrival, then cheered as the head of the circus revealed herself. She glowed at them with a smile and returned her hat to her head. Then, grasping a thick rope at shoulder level, pulled the thick canvas fabric of the tent apart to form a wide entrance. The crowd, sticky with cotton candy and buzzing from the earlier performances, entered in. A man stopped directly in front of her, looking confused. "Where's Ringmaster Argent?" He asked. "I AM Ringmaster Argent." She replied, directing the guest inside. —— Lotus twisted a quick balloon sword for the last family to leave the smaller aerial performance tent. The middle schooler grasped it, masking a look of delight with the cool indifference of teen angst. The family thanked him and headed along main dirt path back to the big top. It was almost time for him to fulfill his role as a very special member of the audience. Not as an enjoying, but as a participant of hijinks between acts. He'd have to get his big shoes on, maybe see if the other clowns wanted to do something classic and all pile in a tiny car together again. Lotus made his way through the crowd, lights and flames dancing around him. |

☆ Astrid ☆ They snorted slightly, "who cares! I want donuts!!" They answered, only moving faster. They laughed when they almost hit one of the patrons. "Careful, Ilia!" They said, slowing down a bit when they felt their companion slowing. "Ughh, fine." They looked over at Ilia and saw her watching Zhangzi's area. Mm.. wonder where he is.. They thought before turning back to the food area. |

Ilia She glanced to where the crowd had started to flow, towards the big top. "Looks like people are heading over, better hurry!" She called to Astrid, finally moving around another patron and up next to them. "There, he's not busy. Cmon." She pointed out the seller, pulling Astrid along this time and rising onto her toes to peek into the van. "Hey Jamie! Yeah, was pretty good. Not too many people, guess they're more excited for the big top shows. Would you happen to have any spare donuts?" She answered his questions then asked one of her own, waiting for the man to take a look into his various cases. ------------------------- Rihan The rider could see the crowd pulling away, overall attention caught by whatever was happening, so she turned away from the gap. "Ah! Maybe the main show is starting. Come along cariad, I need to get you lot tacked up and ready. Carys was mostly ready, just needing the matching decor added onto her usual get-up. Two stalls holding pitch black horses were opened, mares led out and tied up. Both were brushed and they were smart enough not to roll or lay down in the straw, so it was easy to get them as shiny as Carys and ready for a show. Decor on and tied to Carys' flanks, ready to be walked over to the main tent. Maybe she'd bring the dogs along, let them cause excitement amongst the crowd.... letting out three of the older dogs, well used to shows by now, she gave them a small command to follow along and prepare. Usually if she brought the dogs she's have some younger ones to learn but this was the Ringmaster's first big show without her father, it wouldn't do to have any rowdy mistakes. |

"Alright, alright!" They ran around the patron with Ilia, before letting her pull them towards the donut vender. They peered into the van as well, letting Ilia talk. They smiled brightly when the other got to the donut question, rocking back on their heels in excitement as he looked through the cases. |
