// Karlie's POV // Karlie hesitated, knowing he was about to do something stupid. Cherii seemed fine, so he stepped out of the room after James. "Jamie!" He called, knowing damn well that the other might just keep walking. "Are you. . okay?" He asked, sounding worried. Despite his best efforts not to, he still cared. |

//James POV// James swallowed as he turned back to Karlie and nodded, "Yea..I'm fine." He said quietly. He looked tired and his cheekbones showed worse now. It looked as though the years had been hard on the smaller male. His eyes had grown dull as well, his hair wasn't as blond now. He had been looking st the ground before he finally looked up at Karlie. He wore a t-shirt and he had a few tattoos on his arms, but most of his horrible scars were gone. Like the male had gotten makeup and covered them up. |

She closed her eyes tightly, silently willing herself to just move. *"T-Too loud-"* She muttered as a few tears streamed silently down her face. Stop crying. You're being weird again. They're all going to think you're a freak. Get yourself together, dammit! The voice snapped, causing her to begin swaying. Everything was so loud that it hurt, and she couldn't even tell why. // KARLIE // Karlie smiled softly, though it was pretty poor timing. "So I see I'm not the only one wearing makeup." He sighed, wiping the corner of his eye to show the dark purple underneath. "H-How've you been? I see you've got a kid. He looks just like you . .When we were younger, I mean." He sighed, avoiding eye contact. |

//James POV// "Its been...rough..." He said honestly looking back down. "The years...haven't been kind." He said as he remained looking down. "Your daughter, is very pretty.... She seems like a good girl.." He said softly, "Blake's personality is his mothers... Not mine.." Even though James mentioned Blake's mother he wore no ring on his finger |

Once they were out of the room, Cherii leaned back against the wall so she wouldn't collapse. She couldn't help it anymore, and put her hands over her ears. Even though it was nearly silent, she still felt the need to hide. She looked over at him after a moment, seeming ashamed. *"I'm sorry.."* She muttered. Her hands were still shaking, even as they covered her ears. // KARLIE // ". . I'm happy for you. Judging by the kid, his mother has to be great. He's very kind to Cherii, even with her disability." He smiled softly, seeming happy that she'd found someone she could talk to. "Did you finish college?" He asked, trying to move the subject away from Cherii's autism. He knew Cherii didn't always like to talk about it, so he didn't want to bring it up with someone who was a stranger to her. He was just trying to be respectful of her opinions. |

//James POV// James frowned at the thought of thinking of Rose. "She is a bitch." He said with a huff, his tone becoming sharp. He didn't answer what Karlie had said about college. Growing up, James lost his mother now....his own son was having to go through life without a mother as well. |

She took her hands off of her ears, slowly sliding down to sit next to him. She sighed, taking her hair out of the bun and finger-combing it a bit. Once it was fairly tamed, she looked over at Blake. She stared at him for a moment before flooping her head on his shoulder, not seeming too bothered by it. ". . Are you my friend.?" She asked, almost embarrassed that she had to ask. For most people, it was easy to tell, but she'd always had a hard time with that kind of thing. // KARLIE // Karlie was slightly surprised, but he didn't pry any more. "Hey. . do you wanna go get coffee or something? The kids can handle themselves for a while." He sighed, not wanting to go back home to Caleb right now. "Feel free to say no. I get that I can be overbearing." He muttered, rubbing the back of his neck. |

Cherii smiled a little at that, closing her eyes and listening to Blake as he tried to speak in Korean. She didn't notice, but she fell asleep rather quickly. It'd been a long day, and she hadn't slept very well last night, but it was still odd to her how fast she'd crashed. // KARLIE // Karlie seemed a little surprised by that, but also incredibly grateful. He smiled and walked towards the door, trying to figure out where they should go. "I know a decent place a few minutes from here. They've got Karaoke, too-" He laughed, obviously just joking. "My car or yours?" He asked, fiddling with his hands a bit. |
