The actual value of an elk bundle is 3 GC, as that is the amount it is sold in from the grove. People put them up for lower because they may have acquired the item without buying, and are looking to make money from it. Just because an item is sold for a set amount does not mean that is its value. For instance, if I were to get gifted a translucent jellyfish, and didnt want to use it, I would put it up for a less amount of GC the lowest one is at the TC. This would be because I want the trade to be quick and fast. Players put their prices for lower on the TC because they realize that others can just buy from the grove instead of them, as they are the same cost. So, they lower the price a bit. This does not actually affect the items value, just what the player wants for it. If the developers didnt see it fit that was the price from the grove, they would have changed it. But as they havent, that is the set value. |

Darn, the one time I don't add it to my message. Yes, I'm entirely aware that a new Elk bundle can be generated through the grove for 3 GC. However, I'm afraid you might be confused. While part of a seller's price is dependent on how quick they would like to sell, a larger part of the market price depends on supply and demand. When there is an influx of product, in this case Elk Bundles, and a lack of frequent buyers, the price will decrease. Due to the ease of obtaining Elk bundles through the Code Breaker minigame, the market has received too much of the item to maintain the same steady price. This is a common reoccurrence through all games with a players sale. The actual value of the item is based on the community's appraisal of the item and if several listings remain up at the lowest price, that places the value at or below that bar. The store, grove, that translates almost directly to product for the company would never adjust to a lower price because ultimately there's no useful reason to the company to adjust it to a price that would not be of value to them. SC does not equal real money in any form unfortunately. Try thinking of it this way; You need an elk bundle. Would you rather, pay 3 GC to the grove to receive 1 Elk Bundle OR pay less than 1 GC to a player for 1 Elk bundle? Unfortunately that's below the value limit of 3 GC. You can find them on the trading center for 2 GC or less. And I know you can buy it from the grove for 5, but it still has a lower value. It couldn't be flipped for 3 GC or more, since there are lower priced ones. Do you mind changing your item?
