She rolled over and tried to focus on the memories, but nothing was really connecting right now. She was too stressed for this, but there was nothing else she could do. Time skip to wherever :3 ))

She was standing in front of the mirror once more, but this time, she had full control over her body. ". . -kira, come get dinner! D. . made your favorit-" The girl called again for the seventeenth time in a row. Kaia just stood in the doorway, glancing down at the stairs that somehow seemed to float in midair. I don't remember this part. I can't go there if I can't remember. "Coming, Daw-" She tried to say it again, but that just reset the dream. "God dammit! Why won't you just come up here to tell me?! I can't even remember your name!" She snapped as she popped up in front of the mirror yet again. Suddenly, she felt a hand on her shoulder. "Akira? I called for you twice? What're you still doing up here?" It was the girl's voice, and Kaia immediately turned around. She was now looking up at what appeared to be an exact copy of herself. There were a few differences, though. The girl was a little bit older than her, and she had several piercings on her face. "Dawn." She uttered, suddenly feeling a dull ache in her chest.

She muttered, remembering it clearly now. "Okay, then? You're gonna love this! Dad was trying to make lasagna, soooo I had to help him. It doesn't look half bad!" She laughed a little, walking back to the door and standing in the frame. "That. . sounds nice. Dad didn't try to use paprika again, did he?" She mumbled, almost breaking down as she recited the lines of this moment. "Nah- Don't worry about it. I hid it on the top shelf~" The words were echoing in Kaia's head as the girl said them, almost like she'd memorized them. "Good. I'd hate to have a repeat of last ti-" She tried to get the whole sentence out, but a man calling from downstairs cut her off, just like he had back then. "Akira, Dawn! Food's getting cold!" "Coming, Dad!" Dawn called before turning back to Kaia. "You coming, Ki-Ki?" She asked, using the nickname she'd been stuck with since birth. ". . Yeah." She suddenly startled awake, not even seeing Eva. Her hands started shaking as she replayed the interaction in her head. "D-Dawn-" She mumbled, only a few seconds from breaking down entirely.

S-She came and got me for dinner, but we never even made it down the stairs." She couldn't control her breathing, and she'd closed her eyes tightly. "I didn't want to be reset." She cried, shaking her head as she spoke.

She snapped, but it was entirely halfhearted. She wouldn't have been able to get away from Eva if she tried, but she was scared. The government didn't reset them to make things better. Things were already fine, which meant that something else was going on. Her dad, her sister. . neither of them remembered her or each other, and it tore her apart inside. "They're g-gone." She uttered, still fighting to get away from her.
