Kaia knew she was right, but she didn't care. She just kept her eyes closed and put her hands in her hair, begging it to stop. She didn't want to see them anymore. It hurt too much, and it was too much for her to handle right now. She kept muttering to make it stop, but it was hardly audible.

Kaia didn't want to scare her by breaking down, so she just held her breath to get herself to stop crying. She wanted to accept the help, but she didn't remember enough about their past relationship to know how she could help. Hell, she didn't even remember enough about herself.

"Akira. My name is Akira." She mumbled, finally letting herself breathe again. She paused and focused, searching for any memory of she and Eva pre-reset. After a few moments, she turned and buried her head in the crook of Eva's neck. ". . we used to do this." She muttered, keeping her eyes closed.

The memory she'd seen seemed to be close to her heart, though, she didn't know why.
"Evaaa- You take forever!" She whined, standing outside of . . a classroom?
"I do not! You're just impatient!" Eva rolled her eyes, picking up her bag and walking over to her.
"Mmhm." She replied sarcastically, hiding her face in Eva's neck for a moment casually.
"Let's just go! Dawn is cooking tonight~" She grinned, backing up a little and checking her phone.
"Wait, really? Can I comeee?" Eva asked, raising an eyebrow.
"That's the plan, dumbass." She paused, glancing up at Eva with an evil look in her eyes. "Last one there has to do the dishes!" She laughed, punching the other in the arm lightly before running down the stairs and towards the front entrance.

"I mostly just have fragments. Hell, half of 'em don't even make sense to me." She sighed, keeping her eyes closed. "It hurts to only have half your memory. I still don't know what happened, and I'm taunted by these goddamn memories." She gritted her teeth, sounding more sad than anything.
