Kaia rolled her eyes at that, finally feeling her breathing steady out. "You belong to no one but yourself, Sky." She scooted back a little, looking her in the eyes.

"I belong to them. The mark says so" Eva told her. She moved and pulled up her shirt to reveal a large brand mark on her side. It was the genetics testing logo.

"No. You can't own a human being. You belong to you." She took Eva's hand and pointed it to her, just to get the message across. "Come on. I'll make you some breakfast before I head into work." She smiled softly as she stood up and yawned.

Soooooo- Safe to say I got distracted. BUUUUUUUUUT- I watched the new lightyear movie :3

Kaia just grabbed her hand and pulled her up, nudging her towards the living room. "Sit. Food is important." She told her, letting go of her hand and walking into the kitchen. She made a couple of quick pancakes and poured some syrup and whipped cream over them, making sure not to burn them. She walked back into the living room and set them down next to Eva, humming quietly under her breath as she walked back to her room to get dressed.

Eva stared down at the pancakes. She had no memory of ever trying them so she wasn't real sure about them. She took a small bite before she quickly ate the whole thing.

Kaia quickly changed into a pair of black leggings and a white button up, making sure to appear as normal as possible. She pulled her hair up into a bun and then grabbed her work stuff. "Alright, I'll be back in a few hours, so just hang here for a while. Food's in the fridge, feel free to take anything from my closet, aaaaaaaand that should be everything." She mumbled as she walked out into the living room. "Oh- And don't answer the door. For a n y o n e. If it's me, I'll just open the door. If someone knocks, don't even say 'hello'." Her tone was stern, but not aggressive.

Kaia hesitated, suddenly realising there was a possibility of that happening, even if the chances were low. "Worst case scenario, you go hide in the bed. I'll be back later, okay?" She sighed, seeming a little stressed.
