Kaia left the bathroom and ran down the hallway, not caring if she was being monitored. She'd already been caught anyways. She typed in an access code and headed down into the restricted access section of the building, closing her eyes and running her hand across the wall. She didn't know why, but this felt familiar. As soon as she felt the chipped block in the corner, she took a sharp left and opened her eyes, seeing the all white hallways she swore she'd seen before. She sprinted down at full speed, listening carefully for anything that might tell her where Eva was.

Eva kept pacing quickly, she was alone in this room and the silence was killing her. "God, get this off!" She shouted, trying to rip the muzzle off of her face. Though this only resulted in it cutting deeper into her nose. She let out a whimper of pain and felt tears spring into her eyes.

Kaia heard Eva shout, and instantly dashed in that direction. She tried the door handle, but it required an access code. Fuck it- We don't have time! She walked across the hallways and picked up a scalpel that had been sitting on a cart outside the lab. It was red with blood, and she nearly threw up. Regardless, she went back over and jammed it into the processor, causing it to shut down and unlock the door. She burst in and ran over to Eva, a look of panic on her face.
"We have to go! NOW." She took the muzzle off of her and grabbed her hand, trying to drag her out. She saw an oddly familiar stain on the floor, and reached up with her free hand, tracing her fingers over the scar that sat just above her ear. That was where they'd knocked her out. She hit her head. Hard.

Eva had a look of relief on her face, but her panic was stole there. "W-we need to go" she said her voice shaking. Blood dripped down her nose from the the deep cut there, but right now she didn't care. The tears still showed in her eyes and she waisted no time as she rushed out of the cage

Kaia shook her head and followed after her, heading straight for the back exit. Suddenly, the lights turned off, and a loud alarm began blaring. She pulled out her phone and turned on the flash light, still running. There were footsteps coming down the hallway, and she knew their time was up.

Eva seemed to panic more the moment she heard the footsteps. She ran quickly, making sure Kaia never let go of her hand. She had a tight grip on her hand. She ran searching desperately for a exit.

I maaay or may not have an evil plan(I totally do), so just roll with it unless there's something you want to change or add =v= ))

Kaia looked around for a moment, seeing the look of fear in Eva's eyes. She knew there were too many people there for them to both handle, but they wouldn't get away if the guards kept going at this rate. Without hesitating, she handed Eva her phone and pointed to the back exit, just down the hall. "GO! I'm right behind you!" She told her, not waiting for a response.

Eva let out a whimper of panic, not wanting to leave Kaia. She wanted to beg her, not to leave her alone again but she couldn't. After a moment, she took off out the exit. She spared one more glance at Kaia

It's gonna start off a lil cliche, buuuut ah well U 3U ))

Kaia gave a small smile before turning back to the approaching footsteps. She ran over to every door she could and broke the processors, unlocking them as she went. She could see the guards, now, and she knew it was too late. That's alright. All I have to do now is buy her time. She sighed, thinking back to every memory she could find. They were all of Eva, old and new. She smiled, grabbing the tray of used tools and throwing it at them. It didn't really make much of a difference, but it slowed a few of them. They quickly came up to her and began shouting things, trying to find Eva.
"You really fucked up, kid."
"Worth it." She looked up at the same guard from earlier, smiling.
She felt a sharp pain in her neck, and then blacked out.

Eva had managed to get outside, but guards were coming from everywhere. She ran for the forest again, keeping Kaia's phone tightly in hand. She had tears running down her face, and all she felt was numbing panic
