*Astrid saw him starting to hyperventilate, so she stood up and put her hands on the side of his face, still wearing her gloves.* "Cress, breathe. She didn't think you were boring. I didn't think you'd want to deal with fans on your day off, so I told her you were just looking at the animals. Give me a sec, okay?" *She tilted her head a little, turning back around and waving the little girl over. She walked over to them, seeming confused.* "I thought he was looking at the animals?" *She asked innocently, sounding confused. Her mother was in the background, just watching to make sure nothing happened.* "Hmm~ Lucky you, he wanted to show you some card tricks." *She smiled, and the girl's face lit up. She popped back up and turned to Cress, gesturing for him to do his thing. She felt kinda bad for making him freak out a little, so she hoping it might make him feel a bit better to get to show someone his magic. She continued petting the kitten who had managed to sleep through all of this.* |

"Cress is working on some tricks, so tell me if you like them ok?" *He spoke softly then raised his hands and the cards from before appeared hovering around him with a loud hissing sound, he started to spin about and the cards followed but soon glowed with a soft flame, he jumped once, facing the girl and caused the cards to fold up into a single deck, then jumped once more, his back now facing her, the cards glowed brightly and lined in front of the girl* "Pick a card! Any card-but don't tell Cress which card it is! Just merely look then tell Cress when to turn around" *He chuckled a bit* |

"Nope" *He through it and the card turned into a tiny dragon that flew in a semi circle then landed on his shoulder* "Hmmmmm…what you think?" *He took out another card then held it out for the dragon, it flapped its tiny wings in excitement* "Cress believes this is the card you picked?" *He revealed the card to the little girl, the dragon leaned over in anticipation* |

"Yeah! That's so cooool! How'd you do that?" *She exclaimed, waving to the dragon that was still perched on his shoulder. Even Astrid had to admit, that was a pretty neat trick. She couldn't figure out how he'd done it, and her expression showed how fascinated she was.* "Alright, sweetie. What do you say to the nice man for showing you?" *Her mother walked forwards, still smiling.* "Thank you, mister Cress!" *She giggled, walking up and hugging his leg.* "Thanks for that. She's been having a hard time lately, and she really loves your shows." *The woman explained, giving her a moment before telling her to let go of Cress.* |

"Cress should be heading out…the others will probably want Cress to clean out the snake pit.." *He squinted* "Again" *But right as he was about to leave, he froze and with a deep breath he turned to face Astrid once more* "Thanks for not abandoning Cress like others…" *He blushed and looked down at his feet, his hands tugging on the bottom of his shirt* "Cress understands he can be overwhelming but despite the hell he has been put through…ot doesn't give Cress the excuse to…freak out" *He slowly looked back up at Astrid, his eyes holding a light glint* "You..uh, want…C-Cress'…" *He paused and his entire face was red as a cherry, so he lowered his head once more, turned around and vanished through a pillar of fire, however, should Astrid look at the back of her glove, she'd notice a Joker card with Cress' number on it* |

*She took off her gloves and put them back in her pocket, already heading back towards the library. She walked in and sat down to read a new book. She probably should've gotten more work done, but she genuinely didn't feel like it right now. She was quietly humming again, and the librarian seemed to notice.* |

*Cress appeared in his room to only relize that Medusa, the snake charmer, was sitting in the chair in front of his vanity fixing up her makeup, he never really minded the long, dark haired women sporting a long, dark green dress, and knew she felt the same way since he was the only guy to give her the respect she deserves* "Some how you seem to have a knack for finding higher quality brands" *She pursed her lips togather, then turned in the chair once she was satisfied with the green lipstick she has chosen* "Cress figured you'd like that color" *Cress beamed, Medusa couldn't help but smile back and giggle a bit as she held the lipstick against her breast, she dressed very modestly which only seemed to enhance her hourglass figure* "Aw thank you~ I will use it often, now I ALMOST feel bad for having you clean out my children's room.." *She winked while handing over a set of keys, she trusted Cress to only use the one to the snake pit, with a nod Cress headed out of his room and toward the very back of the tent where the snakes were, leaving Medusa to mess around with his makeup a bit* |

*The librarian whispered something to her assistant, seeming to notice that she was in a better mood than usual. Astrid was getting a little fed up with their gossiping, so she shot them an irritated look, which seemed to spook them enough to stop. She'd managed to get through all of her book, so she decided it was time to head out. She walked up to the front and returned her book, checking out two more while she did so.* "Tell me, what's gotten you in such a good mood today?" *Karlie, the librarian, asked. She sounded genuinely curious, but Astrid still didn't feel like she owed her an answer.* "Just a good book." *She replied blankly, but even that surprised the woman. Astrid had never responded before, so it was shocking to have gotten that out of her.* "Alright, dear. I'll see you tomorrow. Enjoy the book." *Astrid didn't hesitate, and left immediately. She hadn't realised how long she'd been reading for, and it was now getting dark outside. She walked quickly, not wanting to be left outside in the dark.* |

*Cress' body was covered in serpents who had coiled around his body to the point he could barely bend his limbs, which made the rest of the day drag out longer then necessary but he didn't seem to mind. As he scrubbed down the stone floor, then moved onto to the heating pads, his mind lingered on Astrid, Just watch, she'll never call, his heart sank but at the same he was used to it, and tired of emotions so he devoted his time into caring for the serpents and made their pit spotless, and now was the hard part, getting them off him, this took well over an hour getting the serpents to uncoil around him, they loved how his body temperature was always hotter then the rest and would merely coil around him once more, a few, however, took the opportunity to hunt for mice and slithered off on their own. Once Cress had finally uncoiled the serpents he bolted out the door and locked it before the sneaky serpents could wrap their smooth, pure muscled body around him once more* |
