*Astrid wasn't too upset about it, and was more focused on how awkward he seemed.* "Oh- I don't go out much either. I just go to the library and cafe to do my work. If I'm being honest, I don't really know what friends do." *She shrugged, finally catching sight of the town.* "How about we just go get some ice cream? I know a pretty cute place a few blocks from the circus, and you wouldn't have to be away long." *She suggested, already on her way to the circus. She didn't really care where they went, and just planned to meet him at the circus to pick him up and figure out where they were going.* "We don't have to choose now if you don't want to. We could just take a walk if you don't feel like going anywhere too people-y." *She waved to the librarian as she passed her outside the building. The woman seemed surprised to see her on the phone with someone, but she just shrugged it off.* |

*Cress hadn't relized Astrid was near the circus and tilted his head, thinking* "Cress thinks the ice cream idea isn't bad, it's been a while" *He picked up his phone and turned off the loud speaker, in case something else happens* "So uh….when will we meet up exactly?" *He squinted a little, now realizing he was never told when he should expect to meet up with Astrid or where, and the more he thinks about it, the more this was sounding like a date but he made sure to remind himself that it wasn't, just two strangers, one who killed people while the other watched, just hanging out, then he jumped a bit once he remembered Astrid calling him her friend* |

"I'm actually by the library right now, so I'm only about ten minutes from the circus if I take the long way. Sorry- I should've warned you, but it totally slipped my mind." *She sighed, plugging in her headphones and putting her phone in her pocket while they talked.* "I can just chill at the library for a bit if you need some time- I'd just been planning to drop by the circus so we could walk together since you don't know where it is." *She explained, stopping for a moment and leaning back against a tall brick wall enclosing some sort of park. Dumbass. You forgot to even tell him you were coming. Well good morning to you, too. You made a mess last night. Not my fault you let me in the driver's seat. I didn't. You forced your way in. "Cress needs to go…will see you at the libra-" *Then the door slammed opened, it was Medusa again* "Heeey Cress!!! Tell me who your girlfriend is~" *She purred* "SHE IS NOT CRESS' GIRLFRIEND YA WHORE!!!!" *He lashed out then hung up on Astrid before the snake charmer gets the chance to say something more humiliating, he stormed out of the room, still holding his phone, and naturally Medusa followed* "Come on, teeeelll meeeeeee" *She hissed with a smirk* "Is she cute? Hot? GIVE THE DETAILS" *She ran in front of Cress, stoping him in his tracks* "Cress has no idea…" *He crossed his arms and looked away, Medusa laughed then headed the opposite direction* "Fine but I will meet her soon~" *Cress watched her leave then made his way over to the library, which really wasn't far and arrived at the entrance around ten minute* |

*Astrid laughed a little and headed into the library, taking her headphones out as she walked.* "Morning, dear." *Karlie looked up at her with a smile on her face.* "What's got you so happy this morning?" *Astrid asked, not seeming afraid of the interaction for once.* "Honey, that's what we've all been asking about you. This is the first time we've actually spoken in five years. You've come in here every day, but you've never once said a word to me, or anyone else, for that matter. What's up? You got something good going on at home?" *The woman asked as if they were friends, and for some reason, Astrid didn't mind it.* "Nothing much. I. . made a friend." *She smiled softly, and that seemed to just blow Karlie away.* "You look like a fish outta water." "I might as well be! Come on, who is he?" *She asked, seeming to be implying something else.* "It's actually kind of a funny story- I met him when I got mistaken for an actress in the circus." *She laughed a little, and the woman in her early twenties seemed to be intrigued.* "Well isn't that a fun story- You'll have to tell it to us some time, but right now, you've got something better to do." *Astrid was confused, but Karlie quickly explained.* "Your book, doll. Last I heard, you still had to get the conclusion done?" "Oh yeeeeeah- I totally forgot about that! Thanks, Karlie!" *Astrid panicked, addressing her by name as she ran back to her favorite spot in the library: A secluded corner by the windows.* |

"It's her favorite spot. Have fun, hon." *She chuckled as she turned back to her computer to keep entering books.* *Astrid was sitting upside down in a light blue bean bag, reading through the conclusion of yet another book. She'd been trying to find inspiration, but everything so far had been a dead end. The one thing she and her inner demons could agree on: God, this is stupid.* "What?! He can't DIE?! That completely ruins the plot!" *She mumbled, sounding frustrated with the text she was reading.* "Damn idiot- He has no clue how to deal with losses!" *She griped, giving up and tossing the book to the side. She closed her eyes and continued ranting in her head, going back and forth with the voice about how annoying that ending was.* |

*Cress smiled then made his way over to Astrid's spot, he came right when she threw the book, he tilted his head a bit and sat next to her, not making a single sound as he did, he scanned the area with a raised brow, Not bad..but Cress likes handicraft more, as Cress sat there he would glance over at Astrid until he found himself staring at her, tapping his chin, then looked away and stared at a completely random person, it was an older man who felt his gaze and looked over his shoulder, and so Cress made his pupils expand so his eyes seemed inky which causes the man to speed walk away, with a smirk Cress' eyes returned to normal and he continued sitting barely an inch away from Astrid* |

"GAH-!" *She exclaimed right as she registered that it was just Cress. Unfortunately, it was a little to late, and she had already fallen out of the bean bag by the time she would have stopped herself.* "Cress- You scared the shit out of me!" *She groaned, sitting up and glaring at him, though, it wasn't at all serious. She stood up and brushed herself off a bit, ignoring how her hair had gotten messed up when she fell.* "Hellooooooo~! Are you ready to go?" *She asked, seeming to be in a better mood, now.* |

"Why else would Cress be here?" *He winked as he got up* "So…you like screaming at books?" *He smirked evilly, Cress felt himself slowly warming up to Astrid, then dropped his smirk once he remembered Medusa claiming Astrid was his girlfriend* "Tell Cress…how much did you hear from the last phone conversation? Did you hear Medusa…uh…making claims?" *He raised a brow, and started to mess with the bottom of his shirt, and of course a part of him was beating himself up for asking* |
