"Huh? What claims? And I do not scream at books! They're just frustrating!" *She asked innocently, pulling her hair up into a loose bun.* "Eh- Let's just go. Ice creammm!" *She smiled, already half way out the door by the time he would have responded. She was eager to get to do something with a friend for once, even though she wasn't really sure if this is what friends were, or what they were supposed to do. She'd never really had a friend before, so this was all uncharted territory. And whose fault is that? What? It's not MY fault everyone thinks you're crazy! Yes it is! You're the reason I'm crazy! *Cress knew that Astrid knew what he was talking about and was about to tell her how much of a lier she was but by the time he opened his mouth, she was already running out the door, and so Cress followed behind her like a little puppy, he was barely an inch away from her and would giggle at random intervals, and since she was wearing a crop top he would make seductive whistling noises and hide behind her, yet every time he was caught he'd merely smirk* |

*As amusing as the little comments were, she couldn't help but feel somewhat uncomfortable. Once they were a few minutes away from the library, and the prying ears of the staff, she turned to him.* "Cress, I don't wear outfits like this to impress anyone. I wear them because they make me happy. It's making me uncomfortable that you're whistling like that." *She told him, just being very up front. She wanted to know if he'd respect her boundaries, and it really was just creeping her out. She was even starting to think she should have brought a jacket or something with her. Cress was a pretty nice guy, but she didn't know him that well yet. Trust wasn't something that came easily to her, no matter how hard she tried. She'd only ever really trusted her mother and sister before, but even they hadn't stuck with her when she was having problems.* |

I don't mind it if you walk next to me." *She spoke softly, seeming oddly calm for once. She smiled a little, just wanting them to get over it and pretend it hadn't happened. She didn't mind that he had been acting flirty, but she didn't want to let him think it was okay to do things like that either.* |

"S-s-s-sorry…" *He whimpered as he lowered himself a bit more, and started to grip his sides, a violet flame slowly crawled up his pant legs* "C-Cress should go…before…m-making things worse…" *He tried to vanish through a pillar of fire but just like the incident from the woods, he couldn't, in fact, only the Violet flame formed but it was weak and flickered in and out of existence, which only made things worse, not only did he make the stupid gestures but now he couldn't escape. "Hey- You didn't make anything worse. . Don't run. Please? I was enjoying just spending time with you, and we still have to go get ice cream." *She mumbled, seeming almost nervous. She didn't want him to leave, especially not on bad terms. She could tell he still wasn't convinced, so she just gave him a look that said 'pleeease?'. She just wanted to go hang out at the ice cream parlor for a bit, and forget this even happened.* *I don't like him. Good thing no one asked you. I want him gone. What?! No! He's our friend! He made you feel weird. He didn't mean to, and I'm not upset about it. I don't care. Either you get rid of him, or I will. No, you won't, and neither will I. He's nice to be around. Just let me have this one, dammit. You get to be in control all the time, and it's so boringggg! I'm not the one who's unhinged! She shook her head a little without noticing, trying to redirect her attention to Cress. He'd pointed out last night that the more time she spent with him, the crazier she seemed to get, but the opposite was actually true. This was the calmest she'd been in years, especially while out in public.* |

"N-no…Cress makes things worse, he always does" *He whimpered once more, his legs were getting shaky, then he noticed everyone staring, but the moment he saw someone pointing at Astrid he lost it, Cress pulled Astrid behind him and growled at the women* "WHY WERE YOU POINTING BITCH?!" *He snarled* "Well…uh.." "WELL WHAT?! CRESS CAN AND WILL BURN YOU TO A FUCKEN CRISP SO ALL YOU BETTER KEEP WALKING OR CRESS WILL FIND YOU!!!" *Pillars of fire shot up from the ground, causing everyone to run away in a panic, and once the area was cleared out, so did the flames. Cress pulled away from Astrid* "Sorry…" *He lowered his head and walked away* |

*Cress stoped where he was, he felt a painful jab in his chest as he remembered a painful memory, he was being passed back and forth by Ara and Syren, the two were roommates at some point and he learned to call them master, but as Syren, the blood sorceress, moved out it became evident how unwanted he was, Ara would try sending Cress to Syren for blood mixtures but would be sent back, regardless he spent his time trapped in a cage, with only himself to talk to, he thought Ara a friend when she took care of him, but now thinks she was only nice to study him like a lab rat. This was the only time Cress wasn't forced to live in a cage, with a deep breath he faced Astrid and looked her in the eyes* "Cress still feels like crap…" *His eyes swirled like a wild fire, and his fingers twitched* |
