"This shouldn't still be affecting me, dammit." *She mumbled, wiping her eyes. It'd been almost two years, and it was still haunting her. She thought she would have gotten over this by now, but she couldn't have been more wrong. It was only eight, but she wanted to just go to bed and forget about all of this. She knew she wouldn't sleep very well, but it seemed like a better option than lingering in her anxiety.* |

"There is a reason why people blame the past for their actions…Cress has an idea of what happened but you need to understand that some things will never go away…." *He gently placed a hand on Astrid's face so she was looking at him* "But it doesn't mean we can't become stronger from it" *He blushed brightly, and his eyes seem to sparkle* "S-sorry it's just uh…." *He took a deep breath and shifted a little, then slowly pulled away and sat on the couch, leaving some space for Astrid* "Y-you're…Well uh Cress…really likes you…" *Cress chuckled a little towards the end and nervously rubbed the back of his neck* "Trying to…not hold you right now…" *He muttered under his breath and looked down, his heart was racing and he started to sweat a little, Cress…I want to kill you right now, this is so pathetic, let's go kill someone~, Cypress purred but Cress didn't acknowledge him and oddly enough he found himself looking at Astrid with a soft smile, his face was hot from blushing so hard and seemed content just being able to sit with her, and watch her, his fingers twitched a little yet he continued watching Astrid in a love struck gaze, he leaned back on the couch and tiny flames flickered around his head, Lorna slithered up his back and rubbed her head against his cheek* |

"I really like you, too, Cress. Next time, don't hesitate, okay? I like being near you." *She sighed, closing her eyes. She was utterly exhausted, and she knew by now that she wouldn't make it to ten o'clock. I'm gonna turn in for the night- Aster, don't take over while I'm asleep. Wouldn't dream of it. Unleeeeess- No, Aster. Buzzkill. She told them, trying her best not to fall asleep. She didn't want to make Cress uncomfortable, so she just planned on going to her room to give him some space. That's stupid. Aster interrupted, sounding annoyed. Elaborate? He's literally the clingiest person we've ever met. I doubt he'd care. Still, I don't want him to feel weird. Chickennnnn- Aster rolled her eyes, leaving Astrid alone to make her choice.* "Mm. . I'm falling asleep just . . sitting here." *She mumbled, stifling a yawn.* "You wanna. . come lay down.?" *She asked, looking up at him with tired eyes. Her face was a little red, despite her best efforts to stay calm.* |

"Must warn you…Cress gets a little overheated at night…" *He said nervously before standing up, then relized he still needed to charge his phone, he pulled it out* "Oh uh b-better plug this in before Cress forgets..Heh…" *He fiddled with his phone a bit then walked over to Astrid's room, his heart continued racing and started to breath rapidly, this time from sheer excitement, he went over to the nightstand to plugged in his phone and placed Lorna next to it, the baby python curled around his it in a protective manner* "Awww protecting daddy's phone? You're so adorable" *Cress chuckled a little then leaned over and gave Lorna a wet smooch, the serpent seemed to happily accept it* "Ohh it that red on your tail?" *Cress asked as he poked her tail with a soft smile* "Red tail python hmmmm?" |

*Astrid got up, but almost fell over immediately. She sighed and made her way to the bedroom, keeping a hand on the wall to support herself. She walked over to the bed and sat down, putting her hair into a loose bun so that it wouldn't get too messy while she slept. She scooted back and got under the covers, already half asleep.* "Sooo- Are you ever gonna tell me where she came from, or is she just gonna be a lifelong mystery?" *She smiled a little, gazing up at Lorna. She'd never known why Lorna was just chilling with him, or if he was even her owner, but she'd never thought to ask about it before now. Cress had said before in the pet store that he couldn't take the lizard because of the way he lives, which made her think that Lorna might've come from the circus. In that case, though, who was her actual owner?* |

"Uhhhh r-remember that time in town Cress left you for a bit?" *He looked down* "Cypress led Cress to an apartment where a couple who seemed to have come back from traveling…" *He paused for a moment then smiled a bit as he felt Lorna flicking her tongue on his bare back* "We ate the couple and took their baby python kheheheheh" *He laughed a bit then got in bed with Astrid, he held her closely and started to bury his face into her neck, he was under the covers as well and made himself comfortable* |

". . Night." *She mumbled, flicking off the lamp and then laying back down. It only took her around two minutes to fall asleep, and then she was pretty much dead to the world. She'd been lightheaded for half an hour now, but she couldn't tell why.* // *Time skip noises* // *Astrid woke up the next morning with a massive headache, and her entire body hurt. She sat up and looked around, taking a minute to process where she was.* "Get up. We've gotta go in twenty minutes, and I can't have anyone seeing those." *Someone spoke from behind her, sounding irritated. Her heart dropped, and she looked down at her wrists. They were nearly black with bruises, and she had several marks running down her arms and legs.* "Hey- Didn't you hear me? Get up, dammit-" *He repeated, walking out of the kitchen with a mug of coffee in his hand.* "So you're finally sobering up? Good luck with that." *She rolled her eyes, seeming even more pissed than he was. She had no control over her actions; It was just a memory playing back through her mind.* "Excuse you? Wanna say that again, Astrid?!" *He snapped, glaring at her from the doorway as she stood up and threw her clothes on.* "Yes, I do. I'm not going to your stupid fucking premier." *She glared at him, fixing her hair.* "Oh like hell you're not- You have one chance to apologize and go get your shit on." *He gripped the mug in his hand, walking over to her. He stood several inches taller than her, even when she was at her full height.* "You want an apology? Here! I am so done with your bullshit, Bryce!" *She flipped him off and picked up her phone, shoving it in her pocket. She turned to leave when she suddenly felt him grab her arm and pull her back. He smashed the mug into the side of her head and started screaming at her, and then she lost control.* "Let go of me- NOW!" *She snapped, and then it went blank. Ariadne took over to get her out of there while Aster and Aria were just trying to calm her down. Things seemed to be alright, but then something went wrong. Astria was trying to get Ariadne out of the driver's seat, but it wasn't working. When she woke up, she saw her entire house destroyed. She'd never seen so much blood in her life, and it was all on her hands. She caught sight of what. . used to be Bryce, and fell to her knees. He hadn't known what she was. He'd had no clue what she could do, and she'd been trying to keep it that way. . Now, it was too late. She screamed as loudly as she could, still not recognizing that it was just a nightmare.* |

"S-shit, thought you were.." *He panted out then slowly everything dead down and he was back to normal, he tried calming himself down and was still holding Astrid in a tight, protective hold, Just ditch her already, Cypress spoke in an agitation tone, yet Cress didn't register he was being spoken to, he was spooked and focused on calming himself down, after a couple minutes and gave Astrid several kisses on the cheek then nuzzled his face into her neck, he was still panting a little but was far calmer now* |

"I'm sorry- I-I didn't-" *She sobbed, suddenly jerking awake. She knew it had just been a nightmare, but it'd sent her into a full-blown panic attack. If she'd known she was going to react like this, she would have just stayed up with Cress watching TV. She couldn't breathe, and there was a consistent stream of tears flowing down her face. The more she tried to calm herself, the more panicked she became. She hardly even noticed that Cress was with her.* |

"Cress is here, it's ok, take your time…" *He spoke softly as he tilted his head so only half his face was covered, he gently rubbed Astrid's right side* "Take your time Astrid, it's ok, take your time" *He yawned a bit and released extra heat, he kept himself awake to make sure Astrid won't hurt herself again* |
