It was just a nightmare, get your shit together!        I killed him. I'm the reason the others can't use the body anymore. I'm the reason he's dead!        It was nobody's fault but his own, alright?! The others will be able to use the body again one day; You just have to let them recover. Now take a fucking breath and go back to sleep. I'm tired, too, you know. Wait- Is that Cress?        Uh- Yes.        . . Why?        Why not?         Fair point.* "I'm sorry- I-I-" *She paused and took a breath like Aster had said, and then tried speaking again.* ". . Sorry, j-just go back t-t-to sleep." *She sighed, wrapping her arms around him subconsciously. She hadn't even given it a thought, but it made her feel safe.*

Bullshit, Cypress hissed but Cress merely ignore him and fell asleep cuddling into Astrid's comforting embrace*

She could only hope that nightmares wouldn't continue to haunt her throughout the night.* // *More time skip noises* // *Astrid woke up the next morning at around nine o'clock. She got up slowly, feeling the ache in her legs again. She knew she shouldn't have picked at the stitches, but she couldn't help it. She grabbed a white skirt and a light blue band t-shirt to match, and then headed to the bathroom to change. She still felt like shit, but at least she'd look alright.* "Shiiit- I forgot about the deadline again." *She sighed to herself, walking into the kitchen and getting some pancake mix. She needed to work on her book today, so she planned on just making some quick breakfast for her and Cress before starting. He likes sweet things, right? Yeah. She thought, mixing the batter before pouring it into a hot pan to cook.*

Posted 2022-08-14 12:55:22 #817140 *Cress made a cute little whinny noise once Astrid got up but stayed asleep, in fact he sprawled his limbs out dramatically so he was taking over the bed and started mumbling complete gibberish, he stuck in a mid sleep state* "Yes mister cupcake princess, Cress will eat you…" *His eyes were barely opened and he started to roll around on the bed* "Ugh wake up Cress….uggghhhhhhhhhhhh don't wannnnnaaaaaaa" *He mumbled a bit, and continued rolling about until he was a human burrito, the covers were tightly wrapped around him and with a long, dramatic yawn he closed his eyes and went back to sleep*

She walked back into the bedroom and smiled a little, trying her best not to laugh.* "Cressss~ Time to get up. I made pancakes!" *She giggled a little, crouching down and poking his nose.* "Come onnnn- Food's getting cold!" *She repeated, putting her hand on his shoulder. She shook him gently, just trying to wake him up enough to get himself together. She smirked and glanced over at Lorna, reaching out and giving her some gentle pets.*

Posted 2022-08-14 13:10:59 #817147 *Cress slowly woke up, then smelled pancakes, his eyes widened and started to struggle in his blanket caccoon, but he was persistent, and so the mighty Cress managed to position himself in a sitting position and scooted his lower body so his feet touched the ground, and thus the prelious journey of man and pancakes had begun. Cress must first make his way out of the room, by jumping over to the door, yet his foe, the blanket, has proven a worthy adversary, it had wrapped itself around Cress' entire body and seemed to only tighten its deathly grip the more he moved, it was now at his ankles and refused to release its grip, but Cress knew he had to reach the pancakes, before it becomes cold. The trail of "Escape the room" took far longer then one would expect, but throughly the power of hunger and a major cravings of sweets, Cress has proven victorious and now makes his way towards the kitchen*

As he continued hopping towards the kitchen, she walked up and put her hands on his shoulders.* "One second, weirdo." *She smiled, finding the edge of the blanket and tugging at it so that it would unravel and release him. She picked the blanket up and folded it, setting it on the edge of the sofa. She wasn't really hungry, so she just settled down on the couch with her computer to start working. She tried to focus, but something still felt. . off. Ah well- Probably just nerves.*

Posted 2022-08-14 13:25:14 #817151 *Cress made a pouty face that failed miserably for he was in fact, extremely cute whenever he made these faces, oddly enough Cress was the sort of Irishman where no matter how serious he tries to act, he just had an overwhelming adorable face, that and he was shorter then most, to the point he has to look up most of the time when people spoke. Cress always found this annoying and even tried growing a beard at some point but people poked fun at him by calling him the worlds cutest leprechaun, with a huff Cress ran over to the kitchen and ate his pancakes like a madman, even that was rather adorable, his naturally flushed face seemed to only highlight his freckles as his face grew a bit more flush from the pleasure he felt eating anything sweet*

She came to the conclusion that it was just nerves from last night, but she knew deep down that it wasn't true. She ignored it and kept typing, gradually working her way through the chapters.* "You can turn on a TV show or something if you want. I'm just gonna be working for a few hours." *She sighed, continuing her work while she spoke to him. She didn't even look up from her computer, seeming focused on just getting this done already. It'd been almost a month, and she'd hardly made any progress. It was safe to say she was pretty done with this damn document.*

Posted 2022-08-14 13:36:42 #817159 *Cress finished up his food and cleaned the plate he was using then sat on the couch across from Astrid, until his curiosity got the better of him, he glanced at Astrid and appeared in front of her and crept up on her screen so only his forehead and eyes could be seen* "What ya doing?" *He asked playfully then somehow appeared behind Aster and leaned over her shoulder, his face next to hers* "What ya doooooooiiiinnnnggggg" *His eyes flickered, and he started to lean a bit further, until he felt his body falling forward, he angled himself so he'd roll off the couch away from Astrid to merely to get back on the couch and cuddle up into her side* "What you dooooing???"
