"That's none of your business." She echoed, twirling one of the strands around her finger. It did not seem wise to her to tell this woman the whole truth; That she has zero control over her magic. She was dumb, not stupid. (Big difference) Hellooo~ )) |

She looked back at her cloak hanging up in a tree and at her saddle bag, she really needed a game plan here if she was actually going to do something with her life. She needed to work out if this was a permanent thing or if she was yet again going to run back to the palace |

So far, her best bet was to get an apprenticeship in town. The number one problem with that, though, is that she has little to no control over her form. Keeping up her disguise all day would take a lot of effort, and she wasn't sure if she could manage that on a daily basis. I could always get a job that doesn't require much in person interaction. She wondered, trying to figure out what jobs required her to be seen the least. Little did she know, Sabran was also trying and failing to come up with a game plan. Oooh- Brainwave! What if Sabran ends up giving up and going back to the palace, and her father literally locks her in her room. Katsura goes into town and looks at applications and jobs she could take on, and finds one from the palace about needing maids and kitchen staff. I've actually thought about it a bit, and maids aren't required to be seen much, which would be perfect for what she's looking for. Also, question- Seeing as this rp is set back in time, I was wondering if the world is against LGBTQ, or if that's just a few specific people like it is now? I was thinking that the king could be against Sabran ending up with another woman because he wants the kingdom to be passed down to a man. As always, feel free to reject or alter! )) |

Sabran shook her head and put her head in her hands. oh god I have to go back don't I ? She stood up and handed her back the blanket " thanks" she whispered before giving her the three other apples she had in her saddlebag before picking up the bag and her cloak and starting to walk back home. Looking defeated and depressed. She hadn't walked for five minutes before several guards grabbed onto her arms " orders from the king command you to be contained in your chambers" she started to shout and struggle, trying to pull herself out of their grip as they dragged her up the sand path towards the palace |

It didn't take long for her to recollect her thoughts and head back towards the woods. She wasn't going home by any means, but she didn't like the idea of being out in the open while so close to the palace. Had she known how close the valley was to the palace, she never would have come here in the first place. // *TIME SKIP NOISES* :3 // It had been two days, and Katsura was officially out of options. She'd been avoiding going into town at all costs, but she knew she wouldn't last much longer out here alone. She finally caved and shifted her appearance, putting on a rosy pink dress and combing through her now brunette hair in an attempt to look somewhat alright. It took her around ten minutes to get into town, and she couldn't help but glance up at the palace as it sat high above the rest of the kingdom. The sun had just risen above the trees, and she could see that the market was fairly empty in the early dawn light. She hesitantly walked over to the post board, flipping through the advertisements in search of something-- anything that would work for her. It didn't take long for a particular application to catch her eye. ' His highness is in search of ten to twenty imperial maids and cleaners. ' ' Requirements: Preferably women in between the ages of 14 to 25. Excellent work ethic. ' ' Salary and benefits: You are paid not by hours per day, but by the quality of your service. Benefits include room and board covered by his highness at the palace. ' The page was straightforward, and rather blunt, but she didn't mind. While it was definitely risky for her to attempt working at the palace, the benefits far outweighed the drawbacks. She wouldn't have to worry about food, clothing, or housing, she could make a little extra money on the side, and the palace is the one place her grandmother would never think to look for her. And so, she took the pin out from the top of the sheet and folded it neatly as she tucked it carefully into her pocket. She'd make her way to the palace as quickly as possible, before her form shifted back. Okie dokie, but is the world anti LGBTQ, or is that just a few people? It was a question lol, not a statement- )) |

Sabran had been alone in her chambers for two days, apart from the maids that brought food and the occasional letter she hadn't seen anyone. Not even her father. Sabran sighed and sat out on her balcony, watching the sun rise, coughing slightly and shivering. Coming back from the field late at night had caused her to feel rather ill and she looked pale and tired. She pulled a velvety blanket close and over her shoulders, looking like a pile of pillows and blankets on top of a sofa. She was completely crushed, there was no sign of her father every letting her out of her chambers. She had read through ever book, gone through every insignificant Letter she had been sent regarding her future, she had moved her chambers around, tried on every dress and shoe combination and now she was done with it. " This doesn't feel like home.." she whispered |

Also, I was thinking that LGBTQ is entirely accepted in the witches' world, which is another reason that civilians dislike them. )) Whatcha think? ^^ )) Katsura had needed to ask for directions, but she'd managed to find her way to the palace gates. Oh boy- Here goes . . everything. She thought to herself, trying her best not to fiddle with her hands out of nervous habit. "What is your business here?" A guard asked her, causing her to jump slightly. She hadn't even known he was there. "I- Sorry, I'm here to apply for the position of a palace maid. I have the application right here." She replied, pulling the folded up piece of paper from her pocket and holding it out to him. He took it without hesitation, seeming somewhat skeptical at first. After a few moments, though, he stepped aside and allowed her to walk through the gates. She cautiously took the paper back from him and headed in, still seeming nervous. "Right this way. My name is Adaline, and I'll be showing you to the dormitories." A redheaded girl told her, suddenly popping out from a crevice in the hall. "W-What? But I thought I had to apply?" Katsura responded, sounding confused. "Oh please- You've got a decent build, you appear fairly young, and I'm sure you can clean just fine. They only say you have to apply in order to scare off the women who don't actually intend on working here." Adaline shrugged, gesturing for her to follow. "If you prove that you cannot handle working here, then you'll simply be removed. Until then, though, you've got the job." "Uhm- Okay?" Katsura sounded uncertain, but she tried to get herself together as the two of them walked through the maze of hallways. |

" Your lunch, your highness" a silver tray with a glass of water, an apple and some form of meat was left on a small table before retreating down the stairwell again. She sighed and bit into the apple before going back to bed |

It didn't take long for the two of them to reach the maid's quarters, but the journey was tiring nonetheless. The labyrinth known as the palace was incredibly confusing to Katsura, and she didn't understand how any of the other girls could find their way around in this place. She was quickly made to change into some more traditional clothing for the help. They didn't look the greatest, but she had to admit that they were comfortable. She had been hoping there might be some sort of tour, or rundown, but there was none. She was simply handed a silver tray with a few books on it to take to one of the noble's rooms. She was only given the room number, and had no other information to help her on her way. She wandered alone down the empty halls, fidgeting with the mobcap she'd been given to cover her hair. While she was grateful that she wouldn't have to constantly hide her hair color, she didn't appreciate how annoying it was to tie the thing. Once she thought she might be at the right room, she lightly knocked. Do what you will with this lol, I have NO plan TvT )) |
