Event: Cataclysms

could there be a clarification when skipping a quest from a cryptid that it does not give you a new one?

i was under the impression it would give you a new one, when i wouldve rather tried to do the quest if i knew it wouldnt let you do a quest at all after skipping. (apologies if this has already been brought up)

A few thoughts about Cataclysms on the first day:

Initially, I wasn't keen on simplified moral compass of "good" "neutral" "evil" which the factions seem to describe, also I find the faction purposes not descriptive enough. There are a lot of questions: What do the Merged want to achieve and why? How does the Independent find both other factions to be a nuisance? I gotta read more about individual cryptids to have any further thought on this.

Also, not keen of factions being the same thing in terms of mechanics (the same reputation gain/loss, the same amount of cryptids, I believe the same amount of decors/apps).

I don't feel like, as the event describes, "This chaotic world is what you find yourself facing whether you like it or not". It sounds like there were forced encounters but I can just pretend like this doesn't happen by just not exploring or not clicking any buttons to event-related encounters. I expected that "Explore" button would make me engage into a battle, or exploring biomes affected by disasters/cataclysms would be at any point dangerous and make my lead lose a huge amount of hunger/HP like you touch the lava and lose 30 HP at once. Nope.

I wish fighting cryptids affected reputation system or how quests were managed by NPCs we fought previously.

It's awesome we only encounter cryptids of our level range to potentially gain the greatest variety of rewards (stats, items, SC).

I hardly complain about anything being too difficult but getting quest to defeat 3 enemies of certain species is what I'd like to avoid in series of 24 quests. It's much more difficult that daily hard quest we get from the questing snake to defeat certain enemy type once.

Do I see it correctly that we can gain full access to 3 faction shops at once? Assuming we can't drop below 0 and focus on one faction to get 1500 reputation then other factions until we get 500 reputation each, it may take less than 10 days under assumption we exhaust the limit of quests daily without skipping.

Btw skipping a quest from a cryptid makes you no longer able to take another from the cryptid until rollover. You can take from other cryptids though (those you haven't had quests completed or skipped today). Not sure if skipped quests count towards the limit of 24 cryptid quests daily.

☘️ Kazeai (Kas): I've forwarded this to a developer and it has been added in!

Dżanek: If you have the same amount of reputation with one or more factions, you won't be sided with any until one number is greater than the others—so if all three factions are at 500 reputation, you would need to do a quest with one faction to get +10 for the one you've chosen and -5 for the other two in order to see a faction's items in the shop.  Also, skipped quests should not count towards the 24 quests you can do each rollover, it just forfeits you from participating in a quest with that cryptid for that rollover as far as I am aware.

Not sure if you're still subscribed, but Wolf Skulls are extremely easy to get through a lunar event encounter where you can touch a glowing skull. I literally have a stack of them in my hoard. Thought it might come in handy, they're good amusement :"D
