I don't know for sure, but I don't think so. You do get 5 cryptid scales for every completed quest though so it's worth it to keep doing quests as much as you can to gain currency IMO. 		Snowcat13 🌞

Well... that's just great... because I have 1160 reputation points. I thought they would be used as currency as well. Now I've wasted tons of salves, cave building materials, nesting materials, and energy for nothing. 		Narasimha

True quests do give scales, but it's a lot easier and cheaper to get them randomly in explore. I won't be doing quests anymore, unfortunately. :( 		Narasimha

I'm still doing lots of quests, I think it's worth it for the currency. I love the markings/bases and will want extras to trade with people in other factions.

You can get currency in explore but to my thinking, more is always better.
