The Den of Birthdays

PLEASE DO NOT CITE YOUR YEAR OF BIRTH!

Hello and welcome to the Den of Birthdays! My name is Frigg and I am the caretaker of the Den of Birthdays. I oversee, keep watch, mark, and try to spread a little bit of cheer here and there. At the Den we welcome all of Wolvden's players, wolves, and everyone in between, to tell us when they're birthdays are/is. Upon the day of birth, we attempt to give small gifts or small notes to help spread some cheer.

Frigg slowly sits up on her haunches to gaze at you before she continues to speak. Not everyone's birthday is a day they enjoy celebrating but we want to try and make that day just a little bit more special. To show them kindness in such a cruel world. If you wish to help me, I will be forever grateful.

To those who help me, you will be called "Caretakers". Your 'job' should you chose to accept it, will be to check this den to see which of our beloved players day of birth is and to help spread some cheer to them. As mentioned, it can be a small gift of your choosing, a simple note, or both. The choice is entirely up to you. To those who wish to have a small gift, a note, or both sent to them on their birthday, you shall be known as 'Birthday Pups', and I ask that you simply fill out the below form. Each form, both for the Caretakers and the Birthday Pups is unique, this helps prevent any confusion for me. I am a very old Goddess after all! You are allowed to be both a Caretaker and a Birthday Pup and those who choose to take on this task, will be marked with a before their names. These slots are limited however, so please choose wisely. Now! On to those pesky forms!

Goodness! Now that, that is out of the way, welcome my beloved pups! As you cross the Stream of Birth, you will enter a world so beautiful and unique that it might just take your breath away! Oh and don't mind my own pups! Frigg says while glancing at the two playing pups at her side. They won't hurt you. If anything, they may join in the festivities with you! She laughs then beckons you to leap over the sparkling stream before you with a soft smile upon her face.

NEWS/UPDATES

Hello everyone!

My name is Anole, yes like that pesky lizard whom I can never catch -grumbles- Anyways, Mama Frigg asked me to do a very important job! I'm the news and updates pup! I'm super excited that I could hardly sleep! Anyways, we have a few announcements to make.

The first is that my pack's Alpha, Magic, is going to begin rounding up specifically selected items and pups for being sent out as gifts. She's uncertain as to when she will have everything sorted because she's entering her re...retirement phase -looks briefly confused by this wording but perks back up- but she said not to worry as once she has everything, she hopes to begin the gifting process!

The second update is that we've not forgotten about our Den of Birthdays! Magic's mysterious owner has been dealing with some Other World (irl) issues that prevented them from being around as much as they would have liked. I guess Other World issues can be just as important as our pack issues can be.

The next update is that our Care Takers have all been selected! We were hoping to have 8 Care Takers but we've settled with the current 3 as this will make things easier for all of us. This leads us into the next very important update as it's for our Care Takers but I'll let my auntie tell you what that is!

Hello my loves.

My name is Umbra. You may see me from time to time, making my rounds in our lovely den. I'm head Care Taker and with this job comes immense responsibilities. -Slowly she sits down while her falcon friend lands on a branch nearby- When I began this role as Care Taker, I never knew just how much fun it could be, but also, time consuming. You see, I was making certain each wolf within our pack, had a birthday that was worth remembering. But then, we decided, our pack knows we love them and cherish their being here. Whenever one of us passes to the Spirit Pack, it is always with great sorrow but also...with great joy, simply because, that wolf, or wolves, has lived their best life, even if it was a short one. And thus, Magic, Frigg and myself sat pondering. If we were no longer celebrating the birthdays of our pack, what then, were we to do? And so, we began building this den. And now, here we are!

-She pauses to smile- As a Care Taker, it is you duty to wish those around you, a Happy Birthday. The Other World is by far more cruel than this one is. And we know and acknowledge, a kind word, said on a day, that may not seem nor feel special to that other person or wolf, could make that day so much brighter. Remember. We all struggle with something in our personal lives. Some of us, sadly, struggle more than others.

So as a Care Taker, remember to be kind when wishing someone on our list, a Happy Birthday or, as we like to call it, Happy Howl Day. Because for whenever a pup is born, our pack raises it's voice, in joyful howls! We want the world to know, that today, is a special day!
