Decrease some Cryptid Quest requirements

This is still punishing towards people who are new or have less time to dedicate to the game. Yes, to skip is an intended mechanic. But if you end up getting, say, three slay quests in a row, and then cannot afford to skip again... that is punishing to people in that situation. I think some requirements can be eased without making things trivial. I don't think one should be expected to successfully finish every single quest. |

Yes, skipping should be an option. However, if you get 3-4 quests you are skipping due to the same one rolling every time you take a quest, that gets VERY expensive. 30SC x 5 = 150SC. Fore new players, that is not feasible. And with added food encounters as well as trophies dropping from encounters like the clown, its tanking the economy, making it nearly impossible to sell food or items, so new players are going to find it extremely difficult to get the funds to pay for skipping. The quests do not reset at rollover, so they are either forced to skip, or be stuck forever. There are players feeding their leads on guarana who would enjoy battle quests over these that require them to pay in items. Some players can afford to buy guarana. The battles are not the issue. Its the expense of items and the expense of skipping hitting new players rather harshly. There are players hoarding huge supplies of cave materials, herbs, medicine, food and amusement items who don't need to be much active, just accepting item quests and converting the excess into Cryptid Scales. Just because someone is keeping certain items, it does not mean its ok to penalize all players by costing them items some people dont have. If someone is keeping themselves a tidy some of healing salves, or nests, there is no reason they should have to hand them over to the game, which essentially erases the items, when the player may be planning to use them. Again, new players are hard up for these items and with the steep learning curve and the difficulty in just starting out, this sort of item tax again, hits below the belt. There are players who have craved for the challenge which the quests we wouldn't like to complete can provide. There is nothing wrong with reasonable challenge. But again, new players forking out hard earned items or salves, its a tax that not everyone can pay. I don't think that the cryptid questing system is unfriendly towards newer and less active players. New players do not have the SC or items to pay for the costs on some of these quests. 10 branches, rocks, leaves? Check the TC, its brutal, and finding them can take forever. Sell trophies? With encounters dropping valuable items, those items are no longer as valuable, so they arent going to sell as well. Food? Again, encounters are giving so much food! (Ive got soooo much food and the raccoon wont buy any more because of the cap!) While its good for new players who are needing food for their pack, it makes it nearly impossible to sell for the needed funds used to skip multiple quests. Im not a new player, but I remember being a new player. Getting salves and nesting material was really really hard and took some serious dedication to get over that hump. The challenge of the event as w hole is fine, the battle NPCs are fine, the overall makeup is fine. What is not fine is asking for nesting material or healing salves without an reasonable "out". 30SC is too expensive if the player has to skip 10/27 quests. Not resetting quests at roll over is too harsh. New players may very well be stuck one the "10 rocks" quest for more than a day while other players are well ahead of them because they do have those items. When the shops open, what will be the cost of the items available? Will the apps be 250-500 scales? How many quests will new players need to do to be able to get at least 1 app or more. While some players will blast ahead because they have the money and time and resources to complete these quests, there will be a large group of new players (first time Wolvers) who will become frustrated, and exasperated with the overall futility of it. "Oh look, another resource/skip quest...I'm out." Which is a shame because the Devs have obviously works really hard on this one! Its about making the game enjoyable for everyone. Not just a small few who shrug their shoulders and say "I think its fine". THaving empathy toward new players doesnt mean the event needs to be put on "easy mode" Easing some of the requirements that cost items or SC could go a long way to help newer players participate with everyone instead of being left out almost entirely. |

I've also given up 12 of my nesting materials and a load of healing salves that I really needed for the lunar event. I didn't find a single mustang all day today, so I had to suck it up and skip that quest, only to get a search quest (which I couldn't manage to do after hours of searching yesterday) pop up again, so that's another skip. I've pretty much given up on the search or fighting quests and I'll be skipping all of them in future, but I just hope the shop items aren't too expensive. For now, having spent 270sc on skipping quests that don't reset (seriously, they should at least reset at rollover), I'm giving a tentative support. If the items end up a reasonable price I may change my mind, but this seems like a massive pain and a waste of SC atm. |

My current quest is to kill three bobcats; I haven't seen a single one all day, let alone defeated one. And I don't really feel like skipping, since I already skipped the exactly same quest yesterday bc i didn't see any bobcats anywhere then too (until after i skipped the quest, of course...), and it feels pointless to waste my meager SC, only to get another quest that I won't be able to do, because I can't find the enemies, or it's asking for my healing salves that i'm already going through at an alarming rate, or because the quest is bugged and literally impossible to complete... I don't necessarily think that the quests themselves are too hard, and the challenge is fun - probably especially to those that have played for longer and have more resources. That being said, I would love to be able to be doing even just 2 quests at once, or at the very least a reset at rollover and a heightened chance of the needed enemy(/encounter). As it is now, when you are stuck, you really are stuck (unless you have the money to pay). |

Those all items that get burnt for NPCs are the most common items found here (you can find the nesting material on the second page). Their prices have increased 3-4 times in the TC because they started being demanded. This event is a great opportunity for players who have hoarded the items to finally put them into use either by spending them for quests to gain Cryptid Scales or taking advantage of their demand and selling in the TC for higher prices. The SC cost for skipping might've been implemented in thought of mitigating the SC inflation that has been complained about in several threads like here or here. I've observed that SC:GC ratio has decreased a bit over the last several days but the change has been so insignificant that makes me think the skipping price might've not been high enough. Keep in mind that no one is forced to do cryptid quests. Thus, players are not penalized for quests being too difficult to them. They may just choose not to do them if these are deemed not worth it. They offer 5 Cryptid Scales each - the currency can be found while exploring biomes for event-related encounters. Just exploring and using quests only to gain reputation might be the most optimal way to play for some users. |

This is not a valid argument. Players are required to gain reputation if they want the apps. There is no other way. If explore battles offered rep when battling certain NPCs then it would not be an issue. But quests give rep, rep gives apps, end of story. In order to get those apps that MUST do quests. Easy mode is not whats asked for here. All that is asked to change? 2 salves instead of 5 2 nesting material instead of 6 10SC to skip instead of 30SC. Would this be a huge game breaker? No. |
