Outside Camp -> The ValleySharp Thorn slipped out of camp not long after she finished her meal. She didn't want to deal with her pack mates right now, perhaps she could get in a small hunt for herself, stretch out her claws. It was a bright, sunny day out. It was nice for Sharp Thorn to get away from everyone, and as she made her way away she recalled her dream from that night... It was dark, and cold. The wind was howling and a storm was brewing. She was alone in the Great Forest, walking and walking. It was hard to see where she was going as the wind whipped around her face, sending dirt and debris past her eyes. Then, she saw it. There was a clearing, where the storm did not dare touch. And in it, stood a wolf. Sharp Thorn couldn't make out who it was, their silhouette stood tall, and strong. But it became apparent who it was when she lifted her head, eyes laying on Sharp Thorn. It was the Moon Alpha. Her blessed eyes shining through the storm, and Sharp Thorn felt her own eyes darken. A guttural sound, grumbling from the non blessed wolf. She let out a howl, strong and full of anger. That was when she leaped at the Moon Alpha, claws ready, and teeth barred. It was barely a fight, because next thing she knew, Sharp Thorn was standing over the body of the Moon Alpha, claiming her victory over the pack... Sharp Thorn knew what it meant, knew what her intentions were becoming. She had to kill their leader, and become the next Alpha. The dreams were becoming more frequent, visions and messages yelling and screaming at her to take the throne for herself. She just had to figure out how to get rid of the other "Moonblessed" wolves, even the pup. She stopped walking when she came to the bank of the river. Looking behind her to see if anyone is following, she turned back, looking for the shallow point. Finding it, she quickly crossed, landing herself now in the Valley. She continued her walk, thinking of various ways to get rid of the living Moonblessed wolves. There were only two, and one was on her Hunting Team. She could plan an ambush, or frame it on a hunting accident. The other was merely a pup, guarded by that weak pup who she shares blood with. Just a few words would freeze her up, leaving the tiny blessed pup vulnerable. She was smiling at the idea of her plan, until she heard something not far away. Something was there, and she licked her lips. Perhaps a snack, or many a meal for later. But that wasn't the case. No, it was another wolf. She was stalking something, prey, on her territory. The lone wolf leaped, landing on the squirrel. Sharp Thorn crouched, silently watching this wolf from the brush, ready to pounce at any moment. |

As soon as he exited camp, he sped up until the wind was rushing through his fur and pushing his ears down with the strength of it. It was quite a windy day today, but that just made his job much more fun. He could almost feel the winds over the fields rushing through him like spirits joining his soul inside his chest before passing through once more. After not too long, he was in the forest. He slowed down and let himself breath in the scents. He didnt know what, or who, he was looking for. But he needed to find something, anything. |

SPARROW SONG The feeling of eyes scouring her pelt were all too familiar. The she-wolf drew in a long breath, choosing to ignore the feeling and continue on with her duties. Maybe she'd be sent on a hunt sometime soon- something, anything to get this spine-chilling feeling off of her mind. She shook out her fur and padded aimlessly around the camp for a moment, deciding not to wait up for the alpha's instruction. Sparrow Song blinked out towards the forest, and suddenly, her paws were guiding her there. She hadn't even realized Night Valley had taken off in the same direction. It didn't take long for the huntress to break out into a full sprint. The trees took her figure on as if she'd always been there. The colors of her coat matched so well with the atmospheric feel of the forest's shade. Eventually, she came to a halt. The scents were new, the change was always so refreshing. Having something other than the familiar camp scent jogged her sense of wanderlust. Admittedly, Sparrow Song would love if the pack decided to uproot and move, choosing somewhere new to live. She'd been desperate for a change in pace. Not enough to leave her family and friends, however. She padded on, feeling the cool earth beneath her pawpads. Petrichor filled her nose, still lingering from the last rain. The ground was damp still, and Sparrow was thriving. The smallest of smiles graced her maw, and her eyes searched her surroundings, ears forward and attentive. The forest had all sorts of things to say, the wind carrying its vices. she/her x 2 yrs x huntress x "speech" x thoughts DANCING WIND Dancing Wind had been awake for a while now. He'd been pacing around camp, and watched as Night Valley darted off, and then another, Sparrow Song, in the same direction. A puzzled look painted itself across his features, and he idled momentarily, eventually letting out a short, amused huff and turning to the waking pack. He liked watching life breathe itself into the pack, wolves waking up on their own and wandering out- pups usually before any of the adults. They always seemed to have so much energy- where on Earth did their tiny bodies store it all? The Land Runner's expression changed, though, when he saw Black Feather rushing into the Greenskeeper's den. He took a step forward, and then another, sticking his neck out to see what might be wrong. he/him x land runner x "speech" x thoughts

NurseryDay Lily watched as the little pup hungrily ate the pheasant, crouching down to get some of it too. She knew it was going to be another energy filled day with the little one, and looked over to her still sleeping pups. She'd let them rest instead of waking them up, wanting to avoid cranky pups. "Your father is probably out, or maybe he's still sleeping. If you'd like we can check after breakfast, hm?" She says, answering Ebony Pup's question. Soft Step slowly came over, head feeling a bit more clear. She always tried her damndest to stay calm at Sharp Thorn's words, and sometimes even wondered why she ever tried speaking with her. Maybe it was because she was the only family Soft Step ever really got to see. Her father hid away in his den, and her mother she never even got to meet. She shook her head, coming over to Day Lily and Ebony Pup. "Any left for me?" She asks, tentatively. Day Lily offers her a kind smile, and moves over so there's room for the young wolf to join. Soft Step joins them, taking a few bites for herself, and she quietly hears Day Lily whisper, "You're a strong wolf." Before going back to eating. |

White Feather, Rising Tides Chaser, She/Her, PansexualThe White Winged She-Wolf stands just outside the nursery, not yet noticing her sister run to Little Fern's Den as she happily watches the pups play. The kind-hearted female had wanted to be a pupsitter from the start. But in the end she had chosen to be a hunter with her sister and mother. White Feather has most of her attention on the pup, not saying anything and not entering the den, but feeling that daily pull she always feels. to try and get out of the hunter profession to care for a few of the little ones. the idea made her heart soar . . . uh-oh. Now it just looks like shes staring. lost in her thoughts. |

They can feel Nettle shifting in the dip of their shoulder. She's a slight weight and her presence eases the ache in his spine just a bit, reassuring him. Taking a quick survey of his body, Morning Mist thinks today will be a good day. Their back is a little sore and their feet are stiff, but his mind is clear of fogging pain. He decides to get up to check on the other pack members. Maybe he'll tussle with a few puppies today before going on a hunt, or gather some bedding material. He can't remember how full their food stock is- it would be good to top it up anyway. Morning Mist stretches (careful to slide Nettle into her wall-mounted nest without waking her) before heading out to visit the nursery. He'll just check the food storage later. |
