Personally, I would go with background B! IMO, it kinda fits with the design, and it's always a nice idea to go full lunar with lunar markings.

When I see wings, I can imagine the creature being shown in the highest position as the best choice, meaning background C.

Agreed with Dżanek, I prefer C. (Then A.) C is a nice vantage point for the wolf and it leans into the blue aesthetic without overpowering the rest of the wolf's design.
