Snowwhisper - Warrior - he/him - Location: CampThe little apprentice had bounded off before he could answer, and Snowwhisper shook his head. He was happy to see someone so full of hope and energy. Perhaps Whitepaw was what the Clan needed in times like these. He paused his work with the reeds, and started ripping a large sheet of moss off of a nearby rock, then bringing it to the rock with the other sheets to dry off. He looked over at Newpaw's statement, and sighed. He recalled the details of his previous home, hours and days and weeks of patroling and hunting. "ThunderClan was in a great forest of many oak trees. Near the further edge of the territory was many different twoleg places, but closer to the river was sunning rocks. A place many cats liked to lie on and soak in the sun. RiverClan and ThunderClan were always fighting for who it belonged to. Don't tell anyone, but I know it was meant to be neutral ground for the two clans to gather and converse, so I don't believe it belonged to anyone. Further up the river was a great owl tree, a grand oak tree. Into the forest is what we called Sandy Hollow. It was a training place for apprentices. A nice clearing that provided good ground to practice hunting and fighting. Past that was camp, and past that the largest tree in the forest. The Great Sycamore. Beyond that was a mound of rocks called snack rocks, we tried to avoid it as it was abundant with snakes of all kinds. The rest was a great forest with many hiding places and plentiful prey." He continued working as he spoke, hoping it'd give her a visual of their previous home, as well as pass some of the time by. Fadedpaw - MCA - she/they - Location: Camp Entrance |

Amberblaze - Warrior - She/They - Location: Forest"So it's decided. I think if we wanted to drink now before moving on that'd be wise. We don't know what terrain we will face, so if your paws end up damp just pad around on the moss to dry them a bit. If you aren't comfortable going near the water but are thirsty I can bring up some wet moss," Amberblaze paused near the edge of the jagged riverside, shaking the extra moss off her paws. They hoped that none of their fellow warriors would take offense to the offer. Usually the water soaked moss was saved for kits, queens, elders, and sick cats, but in this scenario it seemed like the safer option. "I don't mind being wet, I just ask for a bit of supervision in case something happens," she offered a gentle dip of her head to the other cats. "I will also check for fish before I drink incase the sound startles them." |

Crowheart - Warrior - he/him - Location: ForestCrowheart seemed a little offended by Amberblaze's offer, but decided to stay quiet and drink to prevent more arguments. He made his way carefully to beside the water. He scanned the water for signs of fish, which he didn't see. He lowered his head, lapping up the water. It refreshed him, making him feel a little better after a morning full of arguing. He was still hungry, though. The water did nothing to fill his belly. He returned to the patrol after he drank. "Little Brown" - Kit - he/him - Location: CampThe kit coughed hard, his tiny body shaking from the coughs and the cold lake water. He was completely wet and his fur was plastered to his body, making him look like a wet, oversized mouse. He heard meows around him as he gasped for air. He wanted to cry out for his mother, but breathing was more important. In his mind, though, he was wailing for the comfort of his mother. The warm licks, the dry nest. His mother wasn't here, however, and he was at the mercy of unfamiliar cats. At least his paws were on solid ground now. |

Newpaw-Apprentice-She/her-Location: CampNewpaw listened intently, trying to imagine the places her mentor was telling her about. "Wow." She answered, eyes bright. "And you and the other warriors covered ALL of that territory on patrols? That's incredible! Did you have to fight other clan cats while on patrol? Was it scary?" She asked curiously. Her paws kneeded the moss beneath her paws as she waited for Snowwhisper's answers. She was back to her normal energetic self and her questions were almost limitless. Stormclaw-Warrior-He/him-Location: CampStormclaw appreciated Amberblaze's offer, it was truly quite kind of them. But he could stand being near the water for a few moments. He was a little hesitant as he padded forward to lap at the water, but he was able to continue forward. It felt cold and refreshing and he hadn't realized just how thirsty he was to begin with. He drank as much as he could stand, quenching his thirst before returning back to the patrol. |

Amberblaze - Warrior - She/They - Location: ForestAmberblaze admired the others for choosing to step down on their own. Their paws carefully carried them to the edge of the water where she lapped until quenched. Slowly making her way back to the patrol her damp paws slipped a little on the rock, but there wasn't any serious stumble which was relieving. "Crowheart," Amberblaze called, "Why don't you lead us a for a bit?" She hoped that the offer would help ease some of the tension between the group, and it was probably smart to rotate positioning in the patrol as they went about. If they each took point for a while the work will have been led mostly even. Of course, with the odd number of cats that may not entirely work out, but neither Otterslip nor Firewhisper seemed too desperate to lead. "Stormclaw you could go after him. After that we can figure out who will go," she suggested. Letting the others go first made her suggestions feel like like demands, and they hoped it made the other cats feel less like she was trying to be in charge of them. |

Featherspire— He/Xe/Any — Med — CampFeatherspire's tail spun elegantly behind him as he glanced to Whitepaw, carrying a little brown creature that was a tad bit larger than a mouse, but small nonetheless. "Well, look at you Whitepaw, already finding weird things in the woods." They wrinkled their muzzle, and nosed the creature. It was soaking wet, and shook violently. Curiosity tempted the chimera, and xe nosed it harder, until a small paw rested on their nose. a cat's paw. "This isn't a mouse. Great stars Whitepaw, you found a kitten!" Featherspire mewed in shock, quickly starting to rasp his tongue the wrong way over the kitten's body to warm it. "Whitepaw, go get some moss from my den. I need to soak out the water. Can you speak, kitten? What's your name?" |

Snowwhisper - Warrior - he/him - Location: CampHe smiled, happy to answer each question, as well as getting to relive some of his memories. "Yeah, just about. We'd go around the border and reinforce it in groups throughout the day. We'd also check around the inside of the border to make sure not dogs or badgers or other cats had trespassed. There were a few times that I had to fight other cats, before the clans were thinking of merging, no one was allowed onto the territory, unless for important business with the leader or medicine cat. There were four incidents I can remember. Two were battles with RiverClan, as the fight over the sunning rocks continued." He continued with the moss, slower now that he was telling his stories. "One was a rogue, he had been hiding out in our territory near the twoleg place. It was me and two other cats who had found him. He left us all scratched up, but we managed to drive him out with no bad injuries. The other was a fight with ShadowClan. I'm sure you remember the thunderpath that divided our clans, well there was a passage under it that ShadowClan cats used to sneak into our territory and hunt on our land! We caught them one day, but this time ThunderClan was outnumbered six to four. I was really scared but excited that day, I had only been an apprentice for one moon when this happened, and it was my first border patrol. My mentor Mapledrop tried to get me to stay behind, but I was too excited to realize the real danger I was in. I'll spare you the details, but you should have seen the look on my parents face when I came back covered in scars and blood. They almost banned me from ever leaving camp again." He smiled fondly at the memory. He now truly understood why they were scared, and that they wanted to protect their last living kit. He'd have to stop by the elders den when he gets the chance to thank them for doing their best to protect him. |

???? - She/her - PATROL INTERACTION - Location: ForestWord got out by a suspiciously large group of cats making landing near the lake. Who they were or what they wanted, nobody really knew- several of the subordinates had argued that they wanted resources, and were likely a threat. Her father was inquisitive, but nonetheless irritated by the disturbance. She, herself...well, she was quite curious of why these cats had come, and what they might look like. Seldom did they see outsiders who weren't familiar with the Grove. ...After all, outsiders who stepped foot in their land without the proper precautions never lived to see the light of day after the sun dipped below the horizon. There was a group of these cats. They were bare, wearing nothing but the coats of fur that they were born with. Did they do this intentionally, endangering their lives? Or did they merely...not know? Maybe they made the proper preparations the night before, maybe they knew how to make the proper sacrifice to ward them off. But their scouts had mentioned nothing of spotting a pyre. She knew her father would be displeased with her bout of insubordination, yet...she had to see them for herself. After all, she might not see them ever again after dusk fell. Unless they had luck on their side. Still she lurked in the dark pine forest, still as a stone as she observed the patrol of outsiders. They seemed so clumsy on their paws- had they never walked on rocks before? Did they live in those upwalker nests for moons at a time, like some of those outsiders from before? Quite pitiful. f2u base by munckii |

HeatherStump - Medicine Cat - He/They - Location: TerritoryHe rushed into camp, tail lashing and leading the other two into the medicine den. He noticed FeatherSpire out of the corner of his eye, noticing he was licking... a mouse? He sighed, not able to bring himself to care about what he was doing. Maybe HeatherStump had finally lost it and was hallucinating it, or maybe he had accidentally tasted a death berry too. The lynx point tom went into the herb stores, grabbing yarrow and coming back out. He dropped it in front of FernShade, "chew and swallow it. Be ready to throw up." He said, his tone serious. MossKit - Kit - He/Him - Location: Makeshift Nursery -> CampThe kit tilted his head as an apprentice brought what looked like a mouse into camp, and then frowned when a commotion started around it. What's so great about a mouse? He said, scoffing slightly when one of the older cats started licking it. He scampered over to the thing, "what is that?" He asked, nose wrinkling. It smelled weird. |

Whitepaw-apprentice-he/him-location:campWhitepaw raced into the medicine den, grabbing a large clump of moss and returning to the mouse- to the kit. Dropping the moss at featherspier's feet he began to inspect the kit. It smelled strange, even for a kit. The poor thing was coughing loudly and whitepaw watched, worried . |
