Applestar had briskly summoned his duo of deputies. His body was still weak. His paws felt like bricks, and the wound on his neck burned as if it was on fire. While he spoke with the pair of respected warriors, the voice still hung heavy on his mind. Had he been so near to death, to where he had...heard it? It made his ginger fur ruffle in fear, but he tried to keep himself focused as he discussed the situation with his second-in-commands. That was the conclusion, then: this was their only hope. StormClan buried their fallen in sorrowful silence. They picked up their loved ones and the tired kittens before hurrying on their way with Frostmane in the lead to track down Rho. He was still waiting in the forest, with his peculiar garb and mud-coated pelt. Despite the strange glances, he was especially friendly and chatty. Before StormClan knew it, they were walking several lengths through the Forest. The sun was fully visible above the horizon when they left, and now, it was on the opposite end of the sky. Their paws were heavy, their bellies growled, and their wounds ached. But this was their only chance to survive. It was the help of Sun's Garden, or it was certain death. Applestar - Tom - Leader - Location: Beyond the ForestHe was walking, thanks to the support of his mother and Frostmane on either side of him. He'd never felt so tired before in his life- between the fight, the stress, and the lack of any sleep overnight, he didn't know how he could possibly make it. But he had to keep going forward for the sake of StormClan. No matter how hard it was, no matter how heavy his paws felt...even if it killed him. As the leader and his clan staggered along, Rho would occasionally look back at them to ensure that they were keeping up. Frankly, Applestar couldn't tell why he kept looking back at him- was his fur really that messy? Did he really look that awful? Or...was he staring at Frostmane? Maybe that was why he could periodically feel her hackles raising. "...How much farther?" The exhausted leader finally spoke up, his voice weak and winded. The dark mud-covered tom paused to glimpse back at the clan once more. "...We're almost there. Just another few rocky hills- I promise! Sorry it's such a tall trek, we kind of live on one of those mountain peaks." |

Step, wince. Step, wince. Step, wince. Over and over. Minkfur would have stayed at the mangled camp, but doing that was basically a death wish. Her leg would heal in due time according to Featherspire so she would pull through. The cold wind nipped violently at her as she hobbled at the back of the group. Any joy the elder had felt socializing with Blizzardwhisker had gone now that they were moving. That and Quailbristle. Minkfur had saw them mourning over Hawkcry. She was never particularly close to Hawkcry but the evident pain in her kin's face had been enough to sour her mood. She lets out a muffled grunt as her leg crumples under her, but she gets back up and ignores any looks of sympathy. Breammist- She/Her- Warrior "First we have a soft Thunderclan leader, and now we are teaming up with strangers? Why, we shall join the dark forest next if this continues!" Breammist's father keeps grumbling about the situation. He had decided to come though, so why complain? Breammist focused instead on their guide, Rho. Mud covered them from head to toe, something that intrigued the silver she. It reminded her of the time Bluebite and Frostlog had snuck onto Shadowclan territory to do some hunting. Bluebite had been gloating about how good he was at hunting and not paying attention to the muddy puddles spotting the territory. Long story short, all three siblings ended up soaked and laughing. Breammist is knocked out of her daydream when she stumbles over a stone in the path. Embarrassed, she shrinks back behind Brokenclaw and hopes no one sees her. |

Amberblaze - warrior - they/sheThe chocolate tabby padded softly along with the rest of her clan. It's dwindling numbers violently apparent as they had all come together so close. The stranger that led them intrigued Amberblaze the same way Nightglory had, but that left her fur on end. The prior interaction had left them at such a huge loss, and they couldn't help but panic a bit about being thrust into communication with these people again. It wasn't their fault, but surely, they thought, the locals could've at least helped. Lilacivy - deputy - he/himThe deputy stayed near the back of his clan, watching everyone to make sure nothing happened. He was frightened. Applestar was clearly weathered, and he worried about the stability of his choice. It was alarming to be led from the home they barely knew into some unfamiliar territory. Lilacivy kept his worries quiet as he walked with everyone. His shoulders throbbed with the continued impact of the forest floor. |

Stormclaw-Warrior-He/him-Location: Beyond the ForestNewpaw Stormclaw walked alongside the clan, keeping his blue eyes peeled for danger as Rho led them towards his home. He could see his sister Sunpine walking amongst the queens, a small kit hanging from her jaws by its scruff. I hope we get there soon... The silver tom thought to himself, fluffing out his pelt for warmth. He wasn't sure how much longer their journey would take, and it looked as though some of the clan were growing exhausted. A small squeak behind him caught his attention and he looked back to see Newpaw, one of the younger apprentices, trip over her paws. A weary expression on her face. Sympathy washed over him as he fell back to walk beside her. He gave the little apprentice a gentle nudge. "Are you alright?" Stormclaw asked. Newpaw nodded timidly as she got to her paws. "You're doing good. Just keep moving." Stormclaw encouraged. Newpaw gave him a tired nod and from behind the young apprentice, he could see her mother Skystripe along with Littlepaw. Skystripe gave a small nod of gratitude and Stormclaw dipped his head in acknowledgement before leaving the family to walk together. Newpaw-Apprentice-She/her-Location: Beyond the ForestNewpaw was beyond exhausted as she followed her clanmates. She vaguely remembered the big journey to get to their new home not too long before, but she had still been a kit then. Her mother or another warrior had carried her and Littlepaw back then, so she wasn't used to walking such long distances. Due to her exhaustion, she wasn't exactly watching her paws and she tripped over something. She squeaked in alarm as she crashed to the ground, but to her shock Stormclaw was at her side quickly. She got to her paws and looked up at the big silver tom with a timid expression. She answered his questions and her pelt warmed with embarrassment at his encouragement. It wasn't very often that a warrior spoke to her, not counting her mother and her mentor. As Stormclaw padded away, Skystripe moved to walk beside her and gave her ears a gentle lick. "You're both being very brave, I'm so proud of you two." Her mother meowed, looking at both Newpaw and Littlepaw. "Let us keep walking, we can rest when we arrive." Newpaw nodded in agreement, and the trio kept walking. Cloversong-Elder-She/her-Location: Beyond the ForestCloversong grumbled under her breath as she walked. Some young warrior was escorting her given that she had lost her sight. The elder was tired and still extremely stiff from the fighting but she wasn't about to complain. Pride kept her from doing so, she still had her dignity to uphold after all. Retiring after the burial of their fallen clanmates had been difficult but she accepted her fate quietly. And besides, they were all tired and sore. Her ears twitched in response to different noises, and she scented the air cautiously. Losing her sight, she was more hesitant and cautious, but still as stubborn as ever. |

Snowwhisper - Warrior - he/him - Location: Beyond the ForestThey had been traveling for quite some time by now, and with every step, Snowwhisper winced. Sucked his teeth, but kept to himself. He didn't want to burden the others, or make them take several breaks just for him. So for now, he limped along side the back end of the clan. It was mostly elders, and it did nothing to help his heavy heart, because there was a cat missing: his father. "I'm too tired," Lightningflash had said as they prepared to leave the clan. "The fight and... Your mother... Took everything out of me, son." The elder had insisted on staying behind, wanting to join his mate soon. That his son and the rest of the clan head off to safety. "Dad, you can't just leave us. You can't just leave me!" Snowwhisper had cried to him, but it fell on deaf ears. "Remember," The elder spoke, his final words to his son. "You are the greatest joy your mother and I could have had. You've made us proud, and I'm happy to stay here to know that. Now, go and make the clan proud." And with their final goodbyes, the clan left, Lightningflash curling himself up next to where his mate's body lies. The closer the got to this "Sun's Garden" place, following behind the strange mud covered cat, Snowwhisper wondered really how much of a better place it really was. Fadedpaw - MCA - she/they - Location: Beyond the ForestThere were dry tears on her face. Paws were sore and chest was heavy. Before they had left, she put up a fight. Not wanting to leave her mother's body behind, unable to bear the reality that she was really, truly dead. Eventually she had been taken like a kit, away from the camp, away from her one true comfort. Now she walked quietly not far behind Applestar, keeping to herself and avoiding interaction. Rho, the cat leading them away, had attempted to speak to her near the beginning of their travels, but she turned her head, keeping her lips sealed. Every now and then she'd turn her head, looking behind them. Not because she was checking on the clan, but rather, she wanted to catch a glimpse of her mother. She knew it was foolish, they were too far away, and she had stopped being able to see the camp way before sunhigh. Though, she could only hope as she looked back one more time. |

Morning'Skies - Deputy - She/Her - Location: Beyond the ForestMorning'Skies followed the group walking on the side of everyone looking at the scenery. She had been walking beside her apprentice Treepaw earlier, she had gone to walk by herself earlier though. It was nice just enjoying the scenery, a thought kept creeping back into her peaceful mind though. What if they don't let us stay? she kept thinking over and over, pushing that thought out of her head she wondered if there was a river nearby or maybe a lake, fishing was a good skill she could teach Treepaw. She came across a little flower it looked almost happy, as happy as a flower could look. Morning'Skies scooped up the flower it was a light blue with little splotches of white on two of the petals. She put it by her ear just right in her fur where it wouldn't fall onto the ground, and where it wouldn't blow away. Gold'Breeze - Warrior - She/Her - Location: Beyond the ForestShe walked leading the newly blind elder, Cloversong, through the obstacles in their paths. It was very nice of Rho to lead them the way to The Suns Garden, she wondered what the camp looked like and how the cats who lived there would react. This is a long walk, luckily not as long of walk as the journey to this place. She thought to herself as she watched all the cats walking together in unison, most were conversing with each other and others were as silent as a mouse. She enjoyed the peacefulness of it all, this was a good break from stress and worry. |

She never got time to mourn. As soon as she had came to sit down beside Hawkcry, she had to rest the brown she-cat's body in the holes dug in the dirt, fur never even groomed flat. As she had lay her sister to rest, Quailbristle rasped her tongue over the molly's cold cheek one last time, and had slashed a cut over the larger part of her left forepaw pad to mimic Hawkcry's own paw scar. I hope we meet again, sister, Quailbristle mouthed quietly. I miss you already. Now he was following the clan on a mission to the Sun's Garden, led by Rhohodendron with StormClan in tow. He decided to stick to the back, alongside his 'mother' Bluedawn, helping support Mousecatcher, his uncle. Seeing the dilute calico made him feel sick. The entire left side of his face was slashed thousand times over, reduced to a bloodied mess with a ugly gash where his eye used to be. It leaked a nasty, greenish paste, remnants of the herbs applied by Heatherstump, Featherspire, and Fadedpaw, but the leaves that had been used had fallen off, exposing the raw, red flesh. Mousecatcher was entirely unresponsive as they travelled, needing the support of his sister-in-law and nephew to move at all. Quailbristle was entirely quiet. They weren't really sure where Minkfur was— she was probably being assisted by some other clanmates. Bluedawn had meowed some nice words, but they fell on deaf ears and Quailbristle wasn't keen on listening. They felt too awful. Nasty, dark thoughts were circling in their head like a violent maelstrom. I'll kill all those Nightwalkers. I'll rip out their eyes and teeth one by one, like they did to Hawkcry. I'll kill them I'll kill them I'll kill them. They shudder and their teeth clench. I want them to feel what i feel, what Hawkcry felt.. I want to kill them. Blizzardwhisker — She/Her — Deaf Camp coming together to leave had been a blur to the deaf she-cat. Too many cats talking, not enough eyes in the entire world for Blizzardwhisker to see. She had needed to seek out Plumflame for a frantic explanation, and her ex-mate had explained that the clan was going to find a loner group that knew how to protect from Nightwalkers. The dark tom had then tried to ask Blizzardwhisker something, something about apologizing.. but her heart was racing too fast and even seeing the black tom's face made her want to hit something. She was now padding along, quietly but with her head high to check for anything. Featherspire — He/They/Xe — Med @Fadedpaw, anyone else Featherspire hadn't been able to save Ivyshade, and she had bled out there in camp, dirtying his paws red and filling him with a black hole of dread. Now he padded beside Fadedpaw, not too far behind the other high ranks. They had been walking for a while, and he was starting to feel tired. Every once and a while Fadedpaw glanced back in the direction of the past camp, and it felt like his heart would break. "She's watching over you, Fadedpaw. I'm sure." They meowed, bristling as a coo from a owl above made a few warriors meow nervously. To their side, Otterslip padded up, fluffed up, making his tortoiseshell fur ripple in the dusk light. " I don't like trusting a rogue all nilly-willy. But we have no choice, do we?" "We don't Otterslip." Featherspire warns, and signs. He could still see some of the red blood of Ivyshade on his paws. |

Crowheart - Warrior - he/him - Location: Beyond the ForestCrowheart walked with some fellow ex-ShadowClan warriors. His paws were sore from digging all those graves to bury the dead, and dirt uncomfortably remained between his claws. The image of Graythorn lying still as dirt slowly covered her lingered in his mind, and Crowheart blinked hard, trying to focus on not tripping. He heard Rho speak from ahead and wrinkled his nose. As much as he knew StormClan needed these cats' help, he just couldn't bring himself to trust these cats completely. First, there was the odd-colored Nightglory, and now, the mud-covered Rho. The Clan was heading towards the home of these peculiar cats now. Little Brown - Kit - he/him - Location: Beyond the ForestLittle Brown was being carried by a warrior who walked beside Sparrowsong. Sparrowsong, although blinded in the recent battle, had insisted on carrying at least one of her kits by herself. She carried Mosskit by the scruff while being guided by another warrior. "Where are we going?" Little Brown mewed, hoping for an answer from the nearby adults. Sparrowsong was too preoccupied with navigating her way to answer, so the warrior carrying Little Brown answered. "To Sun's Garden," they answered, their voice muffled and tired. "Okay," Little Brown mewed in response, though he had no idea what "Sun's Garden" was. |

Succulentnettle - She/her - Location: Beyond the ForestSucculentnettle trotted among the group of all the remaining Stormclan cats. Adventure was something she loved, and she didn't mind following random strangers - although she didn't have many self-perseverance skills to begin with. She held a average-sized raven in her mouth; and despite it not being a very impressive catch, she was proud of it. It was the best prey she had caught in a few sunrises (thanks to her poor hunting skills). She had successfully 'escaped' the medicine cat den to go hunt, and still had yet to be treated. But this didn't bother her; she was too distracted to even notice the pain she was in still. Plus, she had already cleaned the blood off her 'prized' sand-gold rosettes, and the remaining blood on her mud-colored paws wasn't as seeable. Occasionally she stopped for a few seconds to clean the slight amount of blood she was still losing from her slow healing wounds, as one of the few things she hated was not being able to see her beautiful light brown-gold fur. Her back paw was still leaving a slight trail of blood from the thorn that had been there for hours now, but she had forgotten about it completely. Succulentnettle had heard about what happened to Ivyshade, and although slightly saddened by the news, she was happy she didn't have to be hurt anymore. She looked bad.. Succulentnettle remembered, picturing the way her blue eyes had clouded in pain. She shook her head to forget the thought, and happily looked around. She was confused when she looked at everycat around her. Why are they sad? She thought. Everyone who died is free now! She told herself, she never really cared for Starclan very much, so them not answering the clan's prayers hadn't been relevant to her. |

Frostmane - She - Warrior - Location: Beyond the ForestThe white-furred warrior grunted softly to herself as she continued along, keeping what felt like the majority of Applestar's weight moving using her broad shoulder. Having him bear his weight against her injured skin was initially agonizing, but she'd gotten over the contact some miles ago. What mattered was that she kept him going. StormClan needed him. Her sunset-colored eyes occasionally slid over to the ginger leader burrowed into her side, checking on him to make sure he wasn't getting too bad. He still looked rough. Did he have any of his lives left in this strange place? Did the Sun's Garden have a healer capable of making him well again? Or...? The rough warrior softly growled to herself. How the hell do we know if we can even trust them? They might go 'n try to poison Applestar. Well, if they did...she'd happily tear those peculiar freaks apart in his honor. She'd been somewhat reluctant to go upon her return, but her former mentor had reminded her that this was their only real option left. If they braved the mountains to try to flee home, there was no knowing how far the Nightwalkers might pursue them. This option...it at least gave them a fighting chance. Assuming this "Seer" was as charitable as Rho made him out to be. The stranger was glimpsing back at her again. She didn't like that- she didn't like how Rho kept looking at her. Initially, it was humbling of her enormous ego, but now...now, it was just getting annoying. What did he want- a fight? Oh, she'd happily give it to him...Her shoulders tensed in irritation, while her hackles began to bristle before she sent a warning snarl in the direction of Rho. He abruptly glanced away, seemingly embarrassed. Magpie shot a remark in Frostmane's direction in response to her sharp attitude. "Try to be pleasant to our guest, Frostmane. He's helping us out." "He better be..." The former ThunderClanner responded with a deep growl, her brows furrowing as she glowered at the earth that was crushed beneath her wide paws. Sometime later, the head-over-heels stranger finally piped up from the front. "...Y-your coat's pretty." Rho stammered quickly without glimpsing behind himself. "It's a shame we'll have to cover it." Frostmane offered a brisk hiss. "Cover my coat? We? You touch me and you're dead." Applestar - Tom - Leader - Location: Beyond the ForestHe felt as if he was fading in and out as they continued to journey further. His eyes, seemingly hollow, glimpsed up at the horizon to seek out the mountain. His stomach twisted itself in knots. It felt so far...how could they possibly make it in time? It felt like they'd been traveling for an eternity. As the red tabby faded out again, he could faintly hear Frostmane issue a warning snarl before his mother quickly corrected her behavior. Applestar was glad to have Magpie tagging along- he feared she wouldn't make it through the night during the battle, but she proved herself every bit of a mighty ThunderClan warrior. He couldn't help but wonder...how much weight Magpie felt on her shoulders, hiding all those secrets. Hiding his own parentage was one thing, but at least he never really got to know Darkstar personally. He'd known him briefly from Gatherings, and from the brief time he was in Thunderclan camp attempting to "work together" to make StormClan a safe reality. He always seemed so...bitter. Applestar didn't understand how his mother could ever come to love that old croon, but he did suppose Magpie was an awfully...patient creature. And...it might make sense for her to have to hide her pregnancy from Darkstar. Honestly, Applestar was glad she did. He couldn't imagine the war that his very life might have brought. Frostmane was being bitter against when something caught the leader's eye. Oh- that was quiet a nice feather. Snapping back in reality, the red tabby suddenly stopped in his tracks, causing Magpie and Frostmane to abruptly cease their trek as well. "What is it, dear?" Magpie questioned with concern lacing her voice, eyeing her son who had so suddenly paused. Finally, Applestar gently picked up the yellow-and-red hued feather before gently tucking it into his fur, awkwardly glancing around as if he'd committed some accidental crime before stumbling after his mother and Frostmane. "...Sorry." He apologized with a wide frown. He liked that feather- he just...he really needed it, especially right now. He did like collecting them. Applestar glimpsed back up to find his mother staring into his eyes, with some sort of nostalgic melancholy glowing in them. Hm? What was wrong? Applestar weakly parted his jaws to question his mother before Magpie quickly buried the emotion, offering Applestar a quick lick to the forehead. "...I'm proud of you, my little Gala." |
