Fadedpaw - MCA - she/they - Location: Sun's Garden@Nightglory, Featherspire Fadedpaw listened intently, taking in what they could about the plant life here. Looking around, they eyed out as many herbs as they could. Most they recognized, and some they didn't. They shot a quick thank you with the dip of their head to Nightglory, she was still the group's heiress after all, watching as the larger cat left for cobwebs. It was a strange place, and they wondered how these cats found themselves here. It was... Oddly serene, like a little sanctuary. Maybe in time, Fadedpaw would learn to love this place. Feel content. Right now they were on edge, but if the nightwalkers proved to not be a threat as long as they were in this camp, perhaps they could learn to enjoy it here. One Nightglory returned, they took the cobwebs and leaves from Featherspire, she looked around to cats whose salves hadn't worn off. The long journey had shifted many of the cat's, but there were a few she spotted. Hopefully with these leaves and cobwebs, it'll count towards some disguise. She thought to herself. --- @Magpie "Oh, please," Robinfeather said to himself as he continued to slunk off. "There's plenty of cats who'd miss me. What would she know, anyways? Maybe if she stayed in her kittyhome, none of this would've ever happened." He shot a few cats who looked at him a glare, continuing to mutter to himself as he found a nest, not waiting for the other cats to come in. |

@Quailbristle "No worries kit. I won't let anything happen to ya, I promise." Minkfur wraps her tail around Quailbristle and touches her nose to his forehead. Quailbristle was truly the only family the tabby she-cat had left. The idea of them being burned for their heritage made her fur stand on end. As she purrs words of comfort she adjusts her leg to be out of sight, not wanting her kin to worry more. Ears flicking upwards, she silently listens in on the talk of mud and herbs. Minkfur would surely have to coat herself in the stuff, as her white and blue fur wasn't exactly subtle. It's one of the things her enemies feared back in the day; if you saw a large blur of blue and white charging at you, chances are you weren't getting out unscathed. As for the herbs, Minkfur didn't want any. Sure her leg ached but she refused to acknowledge it. If she didn't think about it it would go away; that was how Minkfur dealt with everything unpleasant in her life at this point. That's why she tried not to think about her mate, her son, and her sister. It simply hurts too much to think about it. Breammist - She/Her - Warrior (Mentions Wolfbane) Everything goes by in a blur; mud covers the silver head-to-toe. Not that Breammist minded, the scent of mud helped mute everything else in the area. Shrinking to the back of the group she glanced around, trying to find Brokenclaw. Not that she cared to talk to him. Just to make sure the brown tabby wasn't harassing any of these strange cats. Thankfully the tom was grumbling to himself about how annoying Magpie was and how he was better than this and all sorts of insults. She shoots him an irritated glare before sitting down and pawing at the ground. She wanted to run away and explore, go back to camp and fish, maybe find Lilacivy and joke around with him. Anything to ignore the situation. She settled for drawing abstract shapes in the ground with her claws; fish and mice and trees. She wished Frostlog and Bluebite were here. Frostlog would be padding around and helping out, probably talking with the sun's garden cats and learning all sorts of things. Bluebite would be swearing up a storm and probably picking fights. Coming out of her daydream she looks down only to see all the pretty shaped shredded to bits. Looking around her eyes landed on a younger cat with….. Bear fangs? Her eyes widened in interest. These cats said we needed to decorate ourselves right? I want some! |

Little Brown - Kit - he/him - Location: Sun's Garden@Blizzardwhisker "Yeah, I am," Little Brown grinned without modesty. "I like mouse! Well, I've really only had mouse - wait, I had squirrel once, too! Mama caught it." For a brief moment he wondered where Mama and his littermates were, whether or not they were on an adventure like him. "Mama's a good hunter," he said proudly. "What's your favorite prey?" he looked up at Blizzardwhisker with wide amber eyes. Crowheart - Warrior - he/him - Location: Sun's GardenCrowheart sat down and examined his own wound dressings. They weren't really worn off, so he went ahead and plastered his pelt with mud, scowling the whole time. The slimy substance reminded him of Nightwalker blood. I'm never gonna get my pelt clean of this. He hated how the mud pressed down on his fur. He moved away from his Clanmates, searching for a place to rest at the tree Nightglory had brought them to. Certainly can't get worse than this, he thought grumpily as he wondered how long it would take for the mud to dry and maybe feel less bad. Chrysanthemum "Chrys" - Stalker - they/them - Location: Sun's Garden@Goldbreeze Chrysanthemum's gaze drifted from Applestar's burning body to an outsider - a determined outsider - who sat close to the pyre. Perhaps a bit too close. They heaved themself onto their paws with a soft huff. "Don't do it. Touch him, I mean," Chrys said as they approached Goldbreeze. The heat from the pyre was much stronger here. "It'll kill all of you," they said calmly. They took the chance to observe Goldbreeze at a closer distance. These strangers were generally smaller in size compared to the cats from Sun's Garden, Chrys had noticed it earlier already. More had short fur, too. Was it warm where they came from? Was long fur a disadvantage for them? Chrys ended up staring at Goldbreeze. |

Morning'Skies - Deputy - She/Her - Location: The Suns Garden@Magpie, Robinfeather. She turned and heard Featherspire, one of the medicine cats, call on her to break up the fight between Magpie and Robinfeather. Confrontation She thought, not her thing. She shook away the thought and bounded off towards the group, "What's the problem here." She asked quieter than she meant to. Seeing they were in their own little world of negativity she spoke louder, "What is happening." Morning'Skies listened to each cat seeing both their sides. Gold'Breeze - Warrior - She/Her - Location: The Suns GardenGold'Breeze heard a voice and turned to see a Garden cat. "I wasn't going to." She said defensively, this cat had no clue the grief she felt and has no say in what she's doing. "How would it kill us all? Would taking him out of the fire kill us all if that's what you're saying?" Gold'Breeze said curiously. She said while watching the fire, the smell of burning a corpse was not pleasant. When the Garden cat didn't answer she turned to look at them. Why were they staring at her? Did they not know cats could be shorter than them? She wondered. Gold'Breeze waved her paw in front of their face to get their attention. |

Lilacivy - deputy - he/him@/Anyone w/ severe injury who would need help or other special care The lilac tom wondered if his pale coat would draw attention from those of Sun's Garden the way it seemed Frostmane's did. He wasn't quite as pale, but they way they spoke of the milky color made it seem like a large negative. Featherspire had listed a need off to the deputy, and he knew that's how he was needed. He made his way into the thick of the clan and planted next to some of the more injured members. His shoulders and Amberblaze's ear were what he considered minor. Stormclaw had the chocolate tabby to help him with his mud. "If anyone should need help or want checked over I will remain here as to decrease distance between us all." Initially, he thought of going directly to each injured cat, but singling them out didn't seem like the friendly thing to do, nor was it the honorable thing to do. Lilacivy sat, quickly wrapping his tail over his paws to keep it from getting stepped on. He felt so large against some of the other clan cats, his form sitting tall above them. An advantage, he'd decided some moons ago, because it allowed him to keep an eye on everyone. |

Succulentnettle - She/her - Location: Sun's Garden@anyone can interact Succulentnettle stayed near the back of the cat's, getting distracted by leaves and feathers that flew by in the wind. The smell of burning fur didn't bother her with how curious she was about other things. Do these weird cats always do questionable things like this? What's the best-worst thing they've done this moon?! She wondered, her forest-green eyes shining in wonder as she entered the place Nightglory had led the clan. Her ears were perked, trying to get as much information about this place as possible as her eyes darted around and her tail swished inquisitively. Unlike other cats nearby her, she wasn't scared. Quite the opposite, she found this place better looking than the clan's camp had. The majority of her wounds were bleeding again, and some looked as if they were slightly infected; however she still didn't notice as she had once again forgot about the pain she was in. Succulentnettle didn't hear Nightglory's orders due to all the distractions around her, but once she saw all the mud on the ground she playfully leaped in it. Normally, she would've hated to cover her golden-brown rosettes, but she didn't even realize she did, continually getting distracted by one thing after the other that she could see; she hadn't even felt the sting it had on her wounds. Her playing in the mud like a kitten would splashed onto a couple cats around her, to which she felt angry glares on her pelt but she didn't care. She was in the minority of the cats who thought this place looked like paradise. With cats continually dying, they probably require less food! And with Nightwalkers as a threat, they get to fight more! And there's so many plants, and so much to do here! It looks so fun! And green! And lush! Her mind was racing with thoughts, and she leapt up and down happily, ignoring everyone else around her. |

Chrysanthemum "Chrys" - Stalker - they/them - Location: Sun's Garden@Goldbreeze Chrysanthemum blinked, no longer staring at Goldbreeze. The outsider had asked a question - something about how it would get them killed. Chrys studied the outsider's voice. Grief... for her leader's sacrifice? Like many of the other outsiders, this outsider was oddly upset at the sacrifice. Chrys considered the outsider's question quietly. Did she not hear the Seer earlier? The gold she-cat didn't seem to be hard of hearing, though. Chrys tilted their head slightly, thoughtful. Did she forget, then? Realizing that they were drifting off again, they quickly answered. "It'll make his sacrifice be for nothing, and the Nightwalkers'll tear you and your friends to pieces," Chrys said. They added, "Then we'll have to clean the mess up." |

Nightglory - She/her - Heiress - Location: Sun's Garden - Mentions: Featherspire, StormClan"All herbs you might need are found within the Garden, growing all around us. If you really can't identify them, then clearly our knowledge is better than yours. Unless your paws are just too delicate to walk a few steps further." The Heiress retorted with a flick of her short-furred tail. "We do not needlessly pick and dry the herbs until leafbare is upon us, when storage is really necessary. Even then, most of our herbs do relatively well during the harsh season..." She shook her head. It was getting late, and she needed to rest up to prepare for another long morning of training and lessons from her father. These cats needed to do the same- they were expected to learn, to adapt, and to pull their own weight. The Garden wouldn't baby them. "I'm going to go rest. We don't like staying up late- for valid reasons. We'll concern ourselves with educating you all on our customs and survival at dawn." Nightglory paused as she stepped away, sending a final glance toward the clan cats. "...And don't wander off in the night. You won't make it back, and we won't go off searching for you. That's your first lesson." ----- After the flamboyant Heiress left, the cats of StormClan began to settle in. They marred their pelts with mud, much to their displeasure. As the moon began to slowly rise in the starless sky, Applestar's body began to slowly disintegrate to ash. Perhaps...StarClan had really left them after all. Applestar - He/him - ???????? - Mentions: Goldbreeze, ?????All he had felt was a heavy sense of peace, a peace he could not shake. At first, it had frightened him, but before long, he had relaxed into a slumber until he couldn't feel anything at all. During the whole process, a sense of dread loosely clung to his soul. What was going to happen- where would he go? Would he at least get to watch over StormClan if he had truly been robbed of his remaining lives with the disappearance of StarClan? Would he...start StarClan anew? That was when his eyes finally fluttered open, finding himself surrounded by flickering flames. "AH! FIRE!" It was a natural response, and he promptly flung himself out of the hissing flames. The red tabby flailed dramatically for a hot second, rolling in the dirt as if he was attempting to extinguish the flames. But...he'd felt nothing- nothing at all. There was no pain. Maybe the sudden return of his remaining lives had made all the pain go away? He smiled sheepishly, embarrassed by his outburst before he craned his neck to look for his clanmates. It seemed that some of them had gone. Had it taken that long for his lives to return? But there she was, the cat who had been his best confidant for so many moons, waiting by the fire. Applestar was nervous. Why did it just have to be him and Goldbreeze, of all cats? Well...it could have been worse- he could have been stuck with Beepurr, or a kit. She seemed sad- maybe she hadn't heard his outburst when he dramatically flung himself out of the pyre? Holding his breath, he paced for a moment before cautiously approaching, as if he didn't want to frighten her. "H-Hey, it's alright, Goldbreeze. Look, I'm sorry I haven't talked to you in a while, but I'm back. There's no need to cr-" Applestar paused and furrowed his brows. Was she ignoring him? Were they really not on speaking terms- like, that badly? His stomach twisted. "I'm really sorry, Goldbreeze. I'm sorry for being a bad friend, I'm sorry for whatever I did to make you not want to talk to me. I miss my best friend, I- I don't know...I don't know what-" The leader paused again. Why was she still ignoring him? Had he been that much of an asshole? "P-Please, I don't mean to be demanding, Goldbreeze, but...please talk to me." As he did his best to blubber and apologize, he reached out with a paw to nudge her. And it went through her. Like, right through her. Startled, the tom stumbled backward, his jaw agape as he struggled to find words and process it all. He looked back to the pyre- that was him, his body, he was- What was going on?? "Great." Rumbled a disdainful voice. "...Of all members of StormClan, it's YOU that I'm stuck with. You're a ghost, you damned fool." ---- Dawn is coming. Slowly the sun rises, and so do the warriors of StormClan. Most of Sun's Garden is already awake, eager to get to their duties before the threat of night falls upon them again. |

Featherspire had given a disdainful snort at Nightglory's comment, before heading out to pick the proper herbs to heal his dying clan. As his clanmates lay to rest, their pelts muddied and their paws bloodied, he searched through the cats for those who needed his attention. He helped a warrior named Blizzardwhisker with a snaking scar on her belly, and applied a heavy dosing of mud to her. The white-furred cats were going to suffer the most here. Featherspire himself had given himself a good swath of mud, and then stuck feathers down his sides. After seeing one of the Sun's Garden cats with teeth of some predator around his head, the medicine cat had shamefully slunk up to the young tom and asked for a few bones of his own. The cat, who he learned was named Wolfsbane, was a chatty fellow with some weirdly disturbing interests.. but he gave Featherspire some bones regardless and left the medicine cat with a good impression. Featherspire had fashioned the bones into a sloppily made cover alongside the preyhide of a long-dead boar, provided by a Sun's Garden cat as well. The garb felt strange and heavy on xer body, but after a bit of tireless pacing, it started to become natural. Xe slept alongside their clanmates that night as well, but xe had trouble sleeping. Xe were scared, so, so scared… but eventually xer consciousness gave way and Featherspire fell into a troubled sleep. Xe had no dreams that night. None at all. No visions of his dead kin, no omens of whats to come. Featherspire was alone. They woke up a bit earlier than usual, aching from the scars from the Nightwalkers two night's past. Featherspire pulled a yawn, and stept out of the den. It was only just dawning, and the Sun's Garden camp was still bathed in shadow. They stood still while their eyes adjusted to the light— or lack of it — and swung their head to the pyre. Applestar's body wasn' even visible anymore. A few Firekeepers were tending to it, and they tentatively padded over and cleared their throat. Wolfsbane, the apprentice— or novice, he'd come to learn, swung around and bounced eagerly around the medicine cat. "Good morning, Clanner! Feather, was it? Featherspine? Feathersplit?" "Featherspire." "Well, i was close. How'd you sleep? The nests are pretty comfortable, yes? Did you know i made them?" Wolfsbane's amber eyes flashed, and the teeth around his neck clattered eeriely. "No, i didn't. They were fine, i guess." "You guess? Hmph, okay. Well that's fine. If you want to go herb hunting, go ask someone else, like The Seer, or Caladium. I can't help you— Ghostpipe said i had to collect firewood today." Featherspire ruffled xer pelt and nodded, licking xer chops, and feeling xer stomach growl. Wolfsbane got distracted as a ember from the pyre danced above his eyes, and the chimera medicine cat padded away, heading out of camp to make dirt before returning and starting to groom xer paws. |

Fadedpaw - MCA - she/they - Location: Den ⤏ Camp@Featherspire She didn't sleep. It's not like she stayed awake on purpose, it's just that every time she closed her eyes she could hear the screams and see the horror. Cuddling into herself, Fadedpaw tried to feel some type of comfort. She saw Featherspire struggle to sleep, she didn't blame xem. Xe were there too, struggling to keep cats alive. But eventually xe fell asleep, the change in xer breathing to indicate it, and she was alone again. Nothing but the cold, drying mud slathered onto her fur to keep her company. She did try, however. Again and again. Eyes closed, the screams and the visions, her heartbeat quickened, and she snapped them open again. Eventually, the sunlight was starting to peak into the den as dawn crept it's way up the mountain top. Cats were stirring and shifting, and their eyes caught Featherspire waking. Wanting to feel useful, wanting to feel something else. They got up too, and padded out not long after he did. But he was grooming himself, and they decided to not disturb him. They sat, looking around the camp. Trying to get used to the new surroundings that they'd have to live with for StarClan knows how long. Maybe forever. Snowwhisper - Warrior - he/him - Location: Den ⤏ CampHe woke with an ache in his shoulder, and stumbled himself up. After reorienting himself, he looked around to see some of the cats were already awake and out. He stepped out, wondering if he could go out and hunt. He wasn't sure what the group's rules were when it came to hunting and leaving the camp, and he didn't want to break them and find out the punishments. Snowwhisper could feel eyes on him, and a chill up his spine. The feeling followed him for longer than a moment, and his back kept twitching. Before he could look behind him, a quiet voice spoke, "Did the nightwalkers get it?" It made him jump, and he whipped his head to spot a reddish cat who looked at him with curiosity. "Your leg, I mean." She says, ignoring (or perhaps not noticing) how she spooked him. "Uhm," He started, looking over the features of this cat who was big, though had similarities with a young cat. Maybe she's a new warrior, er, whatever the ranks are. "Yeah, it was one of them." She hummed. "I'm Amaryllis." "Snowwhisper." He responds. She stares at him for a moment before she turns and walks away, leaving Snowwhisper feeling confused. These cats are really weird. |
