Oh cool! So, just to make sure I have this right in my head, more difficult biomes increase hunter stats more than the starter ones? And if I move to the Tundra, the Glacier will automatically be discovered??

Sorry if these are kinda obvious questions. I started playing in 2020 and took like a multi-year hiatus for grad school lol

Yup, hunting will be more difficult tho. You will need your hunters to have higher stats, to find, chase and kill the pray. One of my parties barely finds critters only and 30% of success, but they are high stats NBWs.

If you go to Tundra, the Glacier will be discovered. You'll have have 2 biomes to hunt with only +15 mins (45min total)

@ninsun i recommend getting the leader talent that increases trophy drops by 5%, and to win more battles, i find that "biter + dauntless" are the best combo. i don't use any others. the hp increasing ones might be good :-)

@pawluck that's complicated! easy biomes have a higher success rate, but harder biomes will grant you more exp with successful (and bigger) hunts. it's important that your stalkers and finishers have high stats (at least above 400 birth stats) because they have the most impact on the successfulness of a hunt + finding bigger trails to follow. chasers are best suited to be nbws or lower stat wolves. there's a leader talent that gives you a 5% boost to hunt success if you're struggling!

Hi, I was wondering: how am I supposed to navigate the market now, for items/wolves and such? I took an almost ten month hiatus and it seems that no matter what I do, nothing sells and nothing I have is really worth anything anymore haha, so it's been a bit of struggle getting on my feet again. Are selling herbs/cures/foods the only way to go, or is the market so saturated with wolves/pups that it's impossible to make an earning on breeding any of them anymore?

@lira this is a pretty subjective question, so i'll answer from my experience.

selling healing salves will give you the most gc. i usually sell cure-for-alls for 200sc. food and amusement are good as well.

for wolves, stats and generation are pretty important. for reference, i'm a low gen breeder and i usually sell my 500+ stat g3s for 2-5 gc, depending on how pretty they are and the value of markings. g2s are double that. if they're a tier 3, you can add a few gc to their price.

long gen wolves unfortunately sell for much less. i'd recommend if you're going to sell a wolf, compare it to other similar ones!

Oh okay, that makes a ton of sense. I remember even when before my last hiatus, there was a lot of emphasis on "low gen" wolves. I'll definitely keep that in mind!

Healing salves also sounds fair enough - has there been an update to the herbalist role? I think I saw something on the news tab, but was not sure if anything else had changed. I'll give the food selling thing another shake.

Thank you so much for making this thread and helping out others :)

@lira the herbalist thing was just a suggested change, nothing has been implemented yet!

and no problem if you need any more help, you know where to find me

I don't know if someone has already asked this, but can healing salves be made? Where do they come from? I don't know how else to heal the lead wolf.

I find them sometimes when I'm exploring with my lead but you can also let your herbalist craft some if you have the herbs. You can also try and find them in the trading center, but it's not guaranteed
