This is a worldwide online game. Folks from almost every continent are most likely on here. Why even comment that? Keep that BS out of the game and just enjoy the content.

It's that kind of attitude that makes knowing what is and isn't cultural appropriation difficult. Just because there may be some people of a certain culture on here it's okay to commercialize their culture?? How can anyone tell who's really one and not the other? I agree that it's upsetting to have social/political things talked about and I'd rather just not, but if someone else feels that way we shouldn't just shut them up… I will put in that it's not Eagle feathers, plus we don't have even have any Eagle feathers items I think, so I don't feel like it's exactly appropriating. And they're not calling it something like "headdress" either… |

If they have a problem with it it's their problem. The ones to complain to would be the creators of wolvden. There's plenty of places outside wolvden they can post about their displeasure. There's no reason to rain on everyone's parade. I have Cherokee flowing through my veins yet I don't mind the decor one bit. It gets folks talking amongst each other. We're a online community. Through conversation stuff can be learned. As long as they know the roots and respect the culture it's not appropriation. Appropriation is for the ignorant alone. |
