Rose trotted through the woods. Her parents had banished her because of her strange growth of antlers. She wondered why she was cursed with such a thing. It made Rose's life harder. Harder to camouflauge, and she always bumped into trees. She viciously tried to shake the stupid bones off her head, but failed. She angrily kicked a pile of dirt in disgust of her 'headpiece.' A strange squeak had emerged from the dirt mount. She sniffed it closer. Fox kits. She nudged the pile open with her nose and a few heads popped out, one of them even brave enough to clumsily climb out. Rose stared at the kits silently, realizing that there was no recent adult fox scent on them. They must've been banished for whatever reason, too.
One of her foxes seemed to like Rose's indigo eyes. They stood on their hind legs and lifted their front paws cutely. Rose suddenly got pined with Deja Vu on when the antlers had popped out of her head. Her parents had shaken their heads in disgust and kicked her out. Rose realized that something similar must've happened to the foxes, too.
She grudgingly kept them by her side, mostly because she felt bad for them, but also because they wouldn't leave her alone. They made hunting a bit hard for her, but she figured it out. Shove them in a deep bush where they can't undo themselves, kill the prey, release the foxes from the bush, and eat.
Unfortunately, Rose was a huge target for humans, too. One day she had smelled the scent of rabbit. When she approached it, and went to eat it, a huge trap clasped her from above. She cried loudly, and the fox kits couldn't do anything. A bit later, some humans came over to investigate her antlers. Any time they came close, she gave a warning growl, or a snap. A small warning. They can't come close. They would harm her.
Eventually she grew tired and fell asleep. Rose fell a small pinch on the back of her fur, but figured it was fleas. Wrong! HUMANS. They had wrapped a huge brown cloak around her. When she woke up, she realized that one was still near her. Too late. They pulled her antlers hard, as if maybe it was a design on her fur. She sank her teeth into the human's arm, and they flailed the other arm in fear, and screamed loudly.
Bite, bite, release. It was a type of warning in Wolf. Apparently a good one, because that human didn't come close.
The humans murmured to eachother. Rose heard them talking.
"Why the cloak?" One of them asked quietly. Rose wondered what they were saying.
"A small guard for the microchip on her back. If she can't remove the cloak, she can't remove the microchip," another murmured. Rose snarled loudly when she caught them off guard. The one she attacked earlier had jumped a few feet in the air.
"Seems dumb..." the one who talked earlier responded.
"It's not, Sharon." Rose wondered what they were saying. Humans and their words. Way too many.
"I'm scared," the one from earlier said. Rose could smell their weakness. "What if she attacks us when we release her?"
"I thought we went over that. Wolves don't attack unless provoked. You walked to the wolf and pulled her..." he gave a nervous glance at Rose. She snarled again. Rose was mad at them for trapping her. "...rack of antlers."
After hours and hours of time, they had finally released Rose. She barked at them a final time, snatched the few fox kits that had stuck around, and disappeared in the woods.

The quick footsteps of the wolf's paws fills her own ears as she runs through the evergreen forest, panting. The creatures chasing her, though not big, powerful with their booming weapons and long range pebbles that would pearce your skin, surely causing death. Not even any Greenskeeper knew how to save you from the pebbles. the machine's the humans used were definately more dangerous than another pack of wolves.
ShadowLight was running for her life, two fox kits clinging to her back for dear life as she runs, panting heavily, one of her antlers gets caught in a branch, making her jerk, one of the kits fall. she stops. freezes. sniffs. looks. human shape in the branches. she whines and tunrs, looking at the kit that fell.
"SweetDrop . . ." she whispers in an almost low growl. the Kit whines, looking at her all wide-eyed.
"Shadow . . ." she whines back.
Without giving herself the chance to think, ShadowLight lunges, picking up the kit in her mouth as she hears the boom of one of the human's machines, and a burning pain in her back leg. she falls, whining as she throws SweetDrop out of her mouth and the other kit flies off her back.
"SweetDrop, LittlePaw, you two Run, you're small enough they might not see you- i-"
"we can't leave you!" SweetDrop was the first to protest, whining as she puts her front paws on her adoptive mother's back, trying to push her to keep going. "Shadow! Shadow please dont give up! we still need you!" she whines despritely.
"SweetDrop!" LittlePaw calls to his sister, "We can come back, she can't run, look at her leg. we have to trust her to be able to hide herself! we can't stay." he tries to talk sense into his twin, knowing that ShadowLight made the right call telling the two of them to run and leave her to fend for herself.
ShadowLight licks an encuraging lick up the side of SweetDrop's face, before SweetDrop whines and turns away, "good luck shadow . . ." she whispers as her eyes fill with tears, she begins to run alongside her brother, off into the unkowingness of the forest.

Shadowlight had managed to stay hidden. Thank The Storm. But now she faces a new delema. SweetDrop and LittlePaw, her adopted childen, two fox kits she had found alone, cold, and afraid on a winter night. She knew they wouldnt survive on their own, only pushing her to try and find them faster. she limps through the forset, howling now and then to try to get their attention. She'll find them eventually . . . . right?
